The Chaminade-Madonna Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Chaminade-Madonna sitting on six straight wins and Cardinal Gibbons on three.

Chaminade-Madonna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Blanche Ely 60-0 last Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Malik Leonard was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 194 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes. Jasen Lopez was in the mix as well, providing Chaminade-Madonna with two TDs.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons made easy work of Boca Raton on Thursday and carried off a 35-13 victory. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Chaminade-Madonna better focus on containing Jayden Torres and Donte Findeson as the pair were huge in Cardinal Gibbons' win. Torres threw for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Findeson rushed for 102 yards and two scores on only seven carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Findeson has posted since back in November of 2024. Gary Hadley Jr. was another key player, picking up 93 receiving yards and one TD.

Cardinal Gibbons' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Alejandro Romay and Peyton Barnell, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Chaminade-Madonna's record now sits at 6-1. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their record is now 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Chaminade-Madonna against Cardinal Gibbons in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-17 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Torres, who threw for 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Lions still be able to contain Torres? There's only one way to find out.
