BODYWEIGHT CLASSES:

Men: Lightweights 70kg/154lb; 80kg/176lb; Middleweights 90kg/198lb; 100kg/220lb; Heavyweights 110kg/242lb; 125kg/275lb; and 125kg/275lb plus

Women: Lightweight 60kg/132lb; Middleweight 80kg/176lb and Heavyweight 80kg/176lb plus

Event 1: Rogue Grandfather’s Clock One-Hand Deadlift

We will be using a Rogue's Grandfather's Clock implement. Athlete will have 4 attempts to deadlift the maximum amount of weight they can. Athlete may use any deadlift variation (i.e. conventional or sumo). Standard grip rules apply. Athlete must maintain control of the implement all the way through the lift (including returning the implement to the ground). Loss of control of the implement will result in a no-lift. No supporting or bracing of the implement against any part of the legs, hips, etc.

Event 2: The Flask Two-hand Deadlift

We will be using a Barrel Strength Systems Flask implement. Athlete will have 4 attempts to deadlift the maximum amount of weight they can. Athlete may use any deadlift variation (i.e. conventional or sumo). Standard grip rules apply. Athlete must maintain control of the implement all the way through the lift (including returning the implement to the ground). Loss of control of the implement will result in a no-lift. No supporting or bracing of the implement against any part of the legs, hips, etc.

Event 3: Country Crush Deadlift

We will be using a Country Crush Two Handles implement. Athlete will have 4 attempts to deadlift the maximum amount of weight they can. Athlete may use any deadlift variation (i.e. conventional or sumo). Standard grip rules apply. Athlete must maintain control of the implement all the way through the lift (including returning the implement to the ground). Loss of control of the implement will result in a no-lift. No supporting or bracing of the implement against any part of the legs, hips, etc.

Event 4: Natural Stones One-hand Lift

Athlete will have 60 seconds to lift as many natural stones as possible. Stones will weight between 15 and 70 lbs. Any grip is allowed. Only one stone may be lifted with one hand at a time. The score will consist of the total weight of all stones lifted + a number of seconds remaining in the attempt.

Belts and knee/elbow sleeves allowed for all lifts. No wrist wraps allowed during any lift. Only standard chalk allowed - no liquid chalk. No tacky allowed.

Trophies/prizes will be awarded based on competition weight classes, but records (association, national, world) will be determined based on individual weight classes for each respective association.
