No weigh-ins the day of the show, no exceptions, please plan accordingly.

Registrations received AFTER May 10th are NOT guaranteed a competition shirt. Dropping out of the competition does not guarantee you receive a shirt as we will prioritize competing athletes FIRST.

Event 1: Max Axle Press

60-second limit. From Blocks - No Clean. Wessel’s Rules - Athletes will have 3 attempts to reach a max weight. Weight will increase by 10lbs. each round. Weight will not decrease. Last successful lift will be recorded. Any athlete attempting to break a state record MAY increase their attempt by 2.5lbs. over the previous record, however it MUST be attempted within the allotted THREE attempts, a fourth is not permitted. Athlete may press, push-press, push jerk or split jerk the implement overhead to a locked-out position, thrusting is not allowed. Press must be completed from the front rack position - this is NOT a 'behind the neck' press. Athlete must wait for the “DOWN” signal to receive a good lift. A “Good Lift” is defined as having the implement locked out, under control overhead with arms straight, head through, legs and feet parallel and stationary. Heaviest lift wins.

Equipment Allowed: Chalk, Knee, Elbow and Wrist Wraps or Sleeves, Belt
Equipment NOT Allowed: Lifting Straps, “Built-up” belt to provide shelf

Starting Bar Weight: 85lbs.

Event 2: Truck Pull

60 second time limit. One attempt for the best time or distance. Athlete will be strapped into a harness and can use a rope for assistance. Front tires will start on the line.

Time stops when the front tires cross the finish line or when expired. Distance will be measured if not completed.

Equipment Allowed: Chalk, Knee & Elbow Wraps, Climbing Shoes
Equipment NOT Allowed: Tacky

Event 3: Deadlift Ladder

60 second time limit. Athlete will start behind the start line. Conventional stance only. Hands must be outside of legs. Hitching is allowed. Athletes must complete the event in ascending order and cannot move to the next bar until a “Good Lift” command is given. The ladder will consist of FOUR power bars with the final being a deadlift bar.

Good Lift: Athlete must lift the barbell to a standing position with head up, shoulders back, legs and feet in line with hips through. Once the signal is given for the lift the athlete must return the bar to the floor under control. Dropping the bar is not permitted; athlete will have to re-do lift.

Timer will stop when last lift is completed.

Equipment Allowed: Single-Ply Supportive Suits, Straps, Belt, Chalk, Knee Wraps or Sleeves.
Equipment NOT Allowed: Tacky or Tacky Towel, Lifting Hooks

Event 4: Conan's Wheel

No time limit. Athlete may start with arms under the implement. Athletes will travel with the implement as far as possible. No drops allowed. Implement must be carried at the front of the body (e.g. - no back squat, etc.). Athlete will receive one warning for sliding the implement, if it happens again, the event will be stopped and a measurement will be made. Distance will be measured at point of contact at the rear of the implement.

Equipment Allowed: Belt, Knee wraps or sleeves, Elbow sleeves, Chalk.
Equipment NOT Allowed: Tacky, Built up Belt. Built up belts defined as any two belts that are NOT sold as a single belt (e.g. - a leather belt over a soft neoprene belt.)

Event 5: Atlas Stones

60 second time limit. Athletes must start with hands resting on the platform. Stone must be lifted to a 48” platform in ascending order. Time will stop when the athlete's hands are off the final stone. Stones are to be loaded under control. Athletes will have to reload stones that roll off any side of the platform.

Time splits will be taken after each successful stone lift.

Equipment Allowed: Tacky, Stone Sleeves, Wrist Wraps, Elbow Sleeves, Knee Sleeves.
Equipment NOT Allowed: Chalk
