Welcome BACK for year 2!

Citizens Hose Company of Jersey Shore Pa, is back at it for another Strongman- The 2nd Annual House on the Hill Strength and Endurance Challenge. We are a volunteer fire company going 68 years strong, serving the Borough of Jersey Shore and surrounding communities. The event will be held at the Jersey Shore Area Elementary School, located on Locust Street in Jersey Shore, PA.

The registration fee is $45 and includes a competitor t-shirt. This is an unsanctioned event, so the weights may not seem too crazy. Plus, this comp is a fundraiser. Funds raised from this strongman will go towards equipment, training, and gear our company needs to be its best! We also have a few Strongman athletes within our doors that love bringing awareness to strength sports!

REGISTRATION OPEN TILL START TIME 10 AM SATURDAY, October 11th!!!! Same day registration as early as 8 AM day of the event!

Weigh ins: 900am -1000am

Rules Meeting & Athlete Photo (Group): 1000am

Competition starts: 1030am

Awards: 1st and 2nd place awards for all divisions.

Top First Responder award for 1st place men and women.

Spectator donation is not required but greatly appreciated.

Events:

Backdraft Medley (Rescue Randy, Farmers Carry, Yoke Squat): You start by picking Randy and dragging or carrying him 50ft to the cones. Throw him over the shoulder, drag him, however, you've got to get him through the cones 50ft ahead. Switch over to the Farmer Handles and carry 50ft to the next set of cones. Then next, position yourself under the Yoke and Squat away till time runs out. Hand placement for the Yoke will be addressed in the rules. You have 90 seconds to rescue Randy 50ft, Farmer Carry 50ft, and then squat out however many reps you can get with what time is left. YES- Most supportive gear. NO-Figure 8 straps or lifting straps, no tacky!

Last Man Standing Deadlift: Each weight class has a "starting" weight; 50lb jumps will be added after each completed rep. Fully locked out, only given the down command once locked out. The goal is to lift the heaviest within your weight class. YES- figure 8 straps, lifting straps, wrist wraps, sleeves (knee and elbow), belts, and chalk (powder and liquid). NO- tacky or deadlift suits!

Smokeshow Strength Medley (Axle Press, Log Press, Sandbag Press): 90 seconds to press 1 rep with Axle, then move into the Log, 1 rep, then move onto the Sandbag press, as many reps as possible with what time is left. YES- wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, belts, grip shirts, powder or liquid chalk. NO- Tacky!

Hose Hold: Holding rolled fire hose in each hand, the longest hold = most points awarded. YES- belts, sleeves (knees and elbows), wrist wraps, chalk (powder or liquid). NO- tacky, lifting straps, hand grips, figure 8 straps!

Fire Truck Pull: Men will be pulling the fire truck, no water. Women will be pulling one of our "lighter" apparatus.

Events and Weights will be tested and tweaked if needed. Events and Weights may be subject to change until the event is closed.
