Weigh-Ins

Membership: This is a United States Strongman sanctioned event. If you wish to qualify for USS Nationals you MUST have your USS membership purchased for the year of 2025.

Event 1: Max Double Overhand Axle Deadlift. Weight will go up by increments of 10lbs for women and 20lbs for men. Athlete has 30 seconds to complete the rep with a full lockout and wait for judges down command. 3- attempts allowed, if you fail a rep you will be automatically finished with the event and will get the heaviest weight you had successfully achieved. If you fail your first attempt you will zero the event.

Equipment Allowed- Chalk, Hard and Soft Belt, Deadlift Briefs, Knee Sleeves. No Sumo.

Event 2: 60 Second Max Reps Log and Sandbag Clean and Press. Athlete can choose which implement they wish to start with. On go, the athlete will clean and press the implement, wait for down command before setting it down and moving to the next implement. You cannot go to the next implement until you’ve successfully pressed the previous. (Example: Log to Sandbag to Log to Sandbag) Sandbag can be dropped from overhead, HOWEVER the log must be set down with some control otherwise it will be a no rep.

Equipment Allowed- Chalk, Grip Shirt, Lifting Belts, Wrist Wraps, Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves.

Event 3: Yoke Carry to Sandbag Over Bar. Yoke height should be chosen before time of the event. Athlete will have 60 seconds to lift and carry the yoke 50 feet, set across the line and run back to pick up the sandbag and carry the 50 feet and over the yoke bar height. Time will stop when either the sandbag lands over the bar or the 60 seconds time limit has been reached.

Equipment Allowed- Chalk, Hard/Soft Belt, Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves

Event 4: Max Distance Husafell Carry. Athlete will have :60 seconds to lift and carry the Husafell back and forth along a 30ft course (foot must cross each end of the line before turning around to continue walking). Distance is measured when the object is dropped (set it down once, you’re done) or when the :60 seconds are up.

Equipment Allowed- Chalk, Grip Shirt, Wrist Wraps, Elbow and Knee Sleeves, Lifting Belt, SHOES MUST BE WORN.

Event 5: Tire Flip for Reps. 60 second time limit. On go, you will begin flipping the tire until the time is up and total reps will be added up. Hands must be off the tire before timer hits zero for rep to count.

Equipment- Chalk, Belt, Wrist Wraps, Knee Sleeves.

Event 6: There will be a 6th event for just the winners of every weightclass for a chance to win the grand prize money TBD.
