This is a non-sanction competition and it does not require a membership to Strongman Corp or US Strongman. This event is for novice only. If you have competed in Open you will not be accepted into the roster.

We want to help grow the sport of Strongman in Ohio so we're hosting a Halloween themed competition centered around Novice athletes. More details soon to come!

Registration includes shirt and trophy for top 3 places. Weights, events, and rules all subject to change.

1. Max Log Press
Athletes will have 3 attempts to press the most weight from ground to overhead with a 60 second time limit. Log will be a 12" Pit Bull Strength log for men and a 10" log bar for women.
Rules: Athlete will fully lock out the weight overhead and wait for a down command inside of a 60 second time limit
Allowed: Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves, belt, and grip shirt.

2. Stone to Shoulder Ladder
Athletes will have 60 seconds to shoulder each stone from lightest to heaviest.
Rules: Athlete will start on the lightest stone and do each stone sequentially. On the last stone, the athlete will use the remaining time to rep the stone as many times as they can. Athlete must be in control of the stone and wait for a down command.
Allowed: Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves, belt, and grip shirt.
NOT Allowed: Tacky

3. Farmers Hold
Athlete will hold farmers handles for as long as they can. Longest time wins.
Rules: Athlete's time will begin once they are standing upright.
Allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belt, and grip shirt.

4. Keg, Sandbag, Tire Medley
Athlete will have 60 seconds to carry a keg, sandbag and tractor tire 50ft and load it onto a platform. Athlete can carry the implements in any order they like.
Rules: Athlete will given command to start and then has 60 seconds to complete, best time wins.
Allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belt, and grip shirt.

5. Car Deadlift
Athletes will have 60 seconds to perform as many reps as possible in 60 seconds. Handles will be approximately 18” high.

Rules: Athlete will be given the command to start and then has 60 seconds to do as many reps as possible. Judge will give a down command for every rep. Dropping weights before the down command will result in a no rep.

Allowed: Chalk, straps, sleeves.
