Qualifications
This contest is for NOVICE athletes only. If you have competed in the Open or Masters division in any sanctioned or unsanctioned event, then you are not qualified. Our mission is to continue growing the sport of Strongman in Ohio and surrounding area. Ineligible registrants will be refunded and not able to compete. Also, if you're pressing 300, and pulling 600 from the floor, you need to be a big boy or girl and join an Open show. We're looking to put on a fun, competitive show that is directed at people new to the sport.

Event Description
Get ready for a fun day to try strongman and see how you stack up against other novice athletes. Costumes are ENCOURAGED as this falls the weekend before Halloween. We will be releasing detailed event instructions so you can show up ready to compete. Any questions at all, please send us an email. While we have signups for a show with full weight classes, we will be combining classes if needed and athletes will be notified if they're getting combined. Thank you!

This is a non-sanction competition and it does NOT require a membership to Strongman Corp or US Strongman. This event is for novice only. If you have competed in Open you will not be accepted into the roster.

Registration includes shirt and trophy for top 3 places. Weights, events, and rules all subject to change.

1. Axle Clean and Press for Reps
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as they can. Implement will start from the floor on every rep.
Rules: Athlete will fully lock out the weight overhead and wait for a down command.No down command, no rep. Max weight wins.
Allowed: Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves, belt, and grip shirt.

2. Max 18" Tire Deadlift
Each athletes will have 3 total attempts to complete a successful rep at the heaviest weight they can lift. If you miss a weight you are out. Heaviest weight in the least amount of attempts will win.
Rules: Athlete will fully lock out the weight and wait for a down command. No down command, no rep. Max weight wins.
Allowed: Chalk, belt, and lifting straps.
NOT Allowed: No deadlift of squat suits of any kind.

3. Farmer's Carry
Athlete will have 60 seconds to carry a pair of farmers handles for a total of 50 feet.
Rules: Athlete must cross the finish threshold for a time. Unlimited drops. Fastest time wins.
Allowed: Chalk, sleeves, belt
NOT Allowed: No lifting straps

4. Sandbag Toss Medley
Athletes will have 60 seconds to toss 3 bags over a 12' (womens) or 15' (mens) bar. You have unlimited attempts within the time window.
Allowed: Chalk, sleeves, belt
NOT Allowed: No ladders

5. Arm Over Arm Truck Pull
Athlete will arm over arm pull a full size truck for 50 feet. At the start, athlete will grab the rope, climb into the pulling area and being their pull. Pull ends when truck reaches the stop.
Rules: No time cap. Must remain in the pulling area.
Allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belt
