Your favorite promoters are back at it again as Team BSS and Iron Fit Crew bring you the 5th Annual Ohio’s Strongest Competition! Join us on Saturday, July 26th, venue to be announced shortly, where we will raise money for the Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley.

Ohio’s will coincide with the Autism Society’s Autism Warrior Event, so there will be activities there for all the family to enjoy!

Events Include:

Yoke to Axle Clean and Press For Reps: 60 second time limit to carry yoke 50ft and then clean and press the axle for max reps in the remaining time. Strict press, push press, split jerk, and push jerk are all allowed. Elbows must be locked overhead and head through to receive a down call. DO NOT DROP THE WEIGHT FROM OVERHEAD. YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO FOR THIS EVENT. The axle must be lowered and controlled to the floor. Equipment allowed: Sleeves, Grip Shirts (No SC/OSG), Wrist Wraps, and Belt. No sticky substances!

Max Wagon Wheel Deadlift: 30 second time limit to complete each attempt. This event will be a "rising bar" format with pre-selected weight jumps. The athlete will have the option to attempt or pass on each weight offered. There will be a limit of 3 attempts per athlete. The athlete must be fully "locked out" (knees, hips, upper back extended) and display complete control in order to earn a down call, resulting in a successful rep. You must control the bar back down- do NOT drop the bar. This will result in a failed rep. If the athlete fails an attempt, the event is over for that athlete, and they will be credited for their last successful lift. Equipment allowed: Straps (including figure 8s), wrist wraps, knee sleeves, suits and belts. No sticky substances! We will be using power bars for this event.

Max Distance Block Carry: Competitor will have 60 seconds to carry the block as far as possible in 50ft increments. Time stops once the block is dropped or time expires. Athletes will start behind the line with hands off the implement. Athletes will carry the implement 50ft, touch the line, and turn to continue 50ft. Athletes only have to toe touch the line in order to make the turn. Equipment allowed: Sleeves, Chalk, Wrist Wraps, and Belt. No lifting straps, gloves, or tacky are allowed. NO RESTING BLOCK ON BELT.

Sandbag Load Series: Athlete will load all three bags in order from lightest to heaviest over the bar. 60 sec time limit. Juts like a stone loading series. This is not a carry and load. Equipment allowed: Sleeves, Grip Shirts (No SC/OSG), Wrist Wraps, and Belt. No sticky substances!

Duckwalk to Block: The Athlete will carry the handle 50ft and then load it power stairs style to an 18" block. The Handle pick height is also 18". 60 second time limit. Equipment allowed: Sleeves, Chalk, Wrist Wraps, and Belt. No lifting straps, gloves, or tacky are allowed.

Weigh-in: July 25th from 9am-12pm and again from 4pm-6pm at BSS Fitness 730 Bev Rd. Boardman Ohio 44512. July 26th from 8:30am-9:30am at the venue.
