Car Squat

Squats will start in the bottom position. Heights will be set at weigh-in. The athlete will start when the judge gives the "Go" command. Athlete will wait until the "down" command. The down command will be given once hips and knees are locked out. Implement will touch the ground every rep.

Allowed:Wrist wraps, sleeves, belt, chalk

Not Allowed: tacky/tack towel/tack spray

Incline Log Press

Competitor has 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.

The log must start from full extension, arms locked out at each rep. Each rep must touch the chest before pressing back up.
Leg drive is NOT allowed—this is a strict upper-body press. No bouncing the log off the chest for momentum.

Allowed: Wrist wraps, sleeves, belt, chalk

Keg Carry & Drag

The keg will be placed at the starting line, and the sled will be positioned 50 feet away at the designated loading zone. The sled will be equipped with a rope for the drag portion. Competitor starts behind the keg, with hands off the implement.

Competitor must carry the keg 50 feet to the sled. Keg must be placed on the sled—throwing it onto the sled is not allowed. The entire keg must be securely on the sled before transitioning to the drag. Once the keg is on the sled, the competitor drags the sled 50 feet back to the starting line. Drag will be with a rope pull. The sled must fully cross the finish line to complete the event. Competitors have 60 seconds to complete the full course. If the competitor fails to finish within 60 seconds, the distance & time will be recorded for placement.

Allowed: belts, wrist wraps, knee sleeves

Not Allowed: tacky, gloves, grip shirts

Rolling Thunder Hold

The competitor will lift the Rolling Thunder handle to a full standing position. The arm must be fully extended at the start of the hold, with the weight lifted clearly off the ground. The timer starts once the weight is fully lifted and controlled. Time is recorded from the moment the weight is lifted until the competitor’s grip fails and the weight drops.

Leaning, or resting the arm against the body to support the hold results in a no count or a warning. Dropping the weight instead of controlled failure may result in disqualification for that attempt.

Allowed: chalk, belts, wrist wraps

Not allowed: straps, gloves, and other grip aids are not permitted

SANDBAG TO SHOULDER LADDER

Athletes will have 90 seconds to complete the sandbag to shoulder ladder. Each athlete will have four sandbags, starting from lightest to heaviest. Each sandbag must be lifted to the shoulder and stabilized with the opposite hand out to the side before receiving a down command from the judge. Athletes must complete the lift and receive a down command before moving on to the next sandbag. Once the athlete reaches the fourth and heaviest sandbag, they must perform as many reps as possible within the remaining time. Split times will be recorded for each successfully lifted sandbag. If an athlete fails to complete all four bags, their ranking is based on the heaviest bag successfully lifted and split times.
Dropping the sandbag before receiving the down command will result in a no rep, and the athlete must attempt the lift again.
