EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION:

Events, rules, and weights subject to change without notice. The rules meeting on comp day will go over the rules for each event and answer any questions athletes may have.

Natural Stone Trump Press:

60 second time cap. Athlete will choose between 2 weights. 1 rep at heavier stone is worth more than any reps at lighter weight. Athlete can go up in weight but cannot go down if starting at trump. If athlete starts on the trump weight and fails, that will result in a zero for the event. This is a clean and press away. Athlete will have to bring the stone back to chest after each completed rep. They do not have to bring the stone all the way to the ground. Athletes must show full lockout and wait until the judge gives a down command.

Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky of any kind. Everything else is good!

Natural Stone Trump Carry for 90ft:

Time cap of 60 seconds. The athlete will choose between 2 stones. If the heavier one, worth more points, is chosen only time is counted and not distance. If the heavier weight is chosen the athlete must finish the 90ft or suffer a zero. Unlimited drops for the heavier stone. High risk, high rewards. The lighter stone will be for both distance and time. For the lighter stone, distance and time are stopped once the stone is dropped.

Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky of any kind. Everything else is good!

Max Cube to Shoulder:

You will have a chance to shoulder custom cubes. You will have 3 attempts to get the heaviest possible weight, Wessles rule. If you miss an attempt, you will have no more attempts, and the previous stone completed will be your weight. A good rep will show control of the cube on the shoulder and wait for the down command. Opposing hand DOES NOT have to leave cube. Athlete must guide cube to crash pad.

Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky of any kind. Everything else is good!

Dinnie Stone Max Distance:

Time Cap of 60sec. Athlete is trying to get max distance. There will be a turn around every 25ft. There are unlimited drops.

Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky of any kind and Straps. Everything else is good!

Trump Atlas Stone Over Bar for reps:

Time Cap of 60sec. Athlete will choose between 2 weights. 1 rep at the heavier stone is worth more points than any rep at the lighter stone. Athlete can go up in weight but cannot go down if starting at trump. If athlete starts on the trump weight and fails, that will result in a zero for the event. Athlete cannot grab the yoke with hands and pull body into stone to push it over.

TACKY IS ALLOWED

We have a 420lb natural stone named the Mutchler stone that if you can lift under the category of off the ground, lapping, to chest, shouldering, you could get your name in an entry of our Nordic Sterkur book.
