The Events:

Last Man Standing MAX Timber Frame Deadlift

  • Athletes will gather at the frame based on weight class (for some of the smaller weight classes, there may be more than one class going at once)
  • Weights will be called out, when your name gets called you will be given the option to take the lift or skip it. There is no penalty for skipping any attempts, you will just wait for the next round.
  • Women and teen men will open with 185 on a MB Powercenter farmers frame and will have 30lb jumps. Once they get to 365 the farmers frame will be swapped for the timber frame. All other men will open with 410 (empty frame weight) and will make 25/45lb plate jumps (50lb/40lb alternating weight jumps).
  • Women's weight jumps: 185, 215, 245, 275, 305, 335, 365, 395, 425, 455, 485, 515, etc
  • Men's weight jumps: 390, 440, 480, 530, 570, 620, 660, 710, 750, 800, 840, 890, 930, 980 etc
  • Once you choose to make a lift, you will have 30 seconds to do so. Your time does not start until you step into the frame. You do not have to do the lift immediately after being called, but we do ask that you respect ours and others time.
  • You have unlimited attempts.
  • This is a rising bar format, once weight is added it will not be taken off.
  • A good lift must consist of: hips and knees locked out with head up and shoulders back. Dropping of the frame will result in a no lift, a zero for the event and immediate disqualification from the competition.
  • Equipment allowed: knee sleeves, neoprene warm pants, straps, chalk. You do not have to wear shoes but you do have to wear socks.
  • Equipment NOT allowed: knee wraps, deadlift suits or briefs, grip hooks
  • Frame dimensions- Small frame: handles are 18" off the ground to the center of the handle, handles are 34" wide. Large frame: handles are 18" off the ground to the center of the handle, handles are 40" wide.
  • We will be running two lanes at once

Max Reps Axle Clean and Press

  • Athletes will start hands off and behind the start line
  • Upon the start, athletes will approach the axle and produce as many reps as possible in 60 seconds
  • A good lift must consist of the following: elbows, knees and hips locked out completely, feet square and forward, and head and shoulders through.
  • No dropping the implement from overhead. You must make a clear attempt to lower it in a safe and controlled manner. I understand you will be rushing to get the next rep. However, if you intentionally slam the implement from overhead you will be given a no lift.
  • Any type of clean is allowed. You may not press from the head. If the axle stops on your head during the press you will be given a no lift.
  • Equipment allowed: elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, one soft and one hard belt, grip shirts, chalk/liquid chalk
  • Equipment NOT allowed: elbow sleeves with any buckles, straps or mechanisms, elbow wraps, anything sticky other than a grip shirt (tacky, spray tack, tacky towel)

  • You will carry the handles 50' down, drop them, carry back, drop again and repeat as many times as you can within the time constraints.
  • The front of the farmers must cross the line before dropping them and turning around. You will receive a command from the judge once across the line. Any drops between the two lines will mean your time is up and your distance will be recorded.
  • No sliding of the farmers across the end lines, they must be carried across the line. No sliding for extra distance.
  • Equipment allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, belt, neoprene warming pants
  • Not allowed: tacky/spray tack, straps.
  • This event will be run in conjunction with the truck push/zecher carry

Truck Push toYoke Zercher Carry

  • Athletes will start hands on the truck
  • This event will be on a slight uphill incline.
  • On the start command you will push the truck 30', once the front of the tire crosses the finish line you will receive a "good!" command from the judge. The yoke will be set up at the end of the truck push, once the truck is across you will run to the yoke, grab it zercher style and carry it 30', uphill, across the finish line
  • You may drop the yoke and re-pick.
  • Women will be pushing a Scion XD, Men will be pushing a Ram 1500. For Open heavyweight women and men, we MAY add people/weight to make it slightly heavier, but that is TBD.

  • This event will be run in conjunction with the max distance farmer's carry
