2025 4th Annual Beast Bash for Charity
$75
Gastonia, NC
Welcome to the 2025 BEAST BASH for Charity!
This is our 4th Annual year of the Beast Bash for Charity and our first year opening it up on Iron Podium!
We are so excited to have you all come and show off in the name of Charity right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
All entry fees, proceeds, and donations will be split 50/50 between two causes:
- Cancer Services of Gaston County: a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with cancer by providing the necessities, free of charge, to any Gaston County resident with a current or previous cancer diagnosis. This includes providing items and services such as canned chicken noodle soup, Gatorade, liquid nutrition, rides to treatment, medication assistance, wigs, bras and prosthesis for women fighting breast cancer, support groups and much more. They rely on community donations and fundraisers to help better provide for the Gaston County community.
- Helping Professional Strongwoman, Emily Elmore: She will be representing our community overseas for the very first time as an athlete at the prestigious - Extinct Games in Singapore. Funds raised will also help her be able to afford the flight costs to compete abroad.
This is meant to be a fun show that isn't crazy, stupid heavy as it is unsanctioned and just to have a good time.
Who is a Mini Beast?
We will have a Mini Beast class for women. This class is for very, very beginner women athletes who have NEVER done novice or open or masters at a strongman show. These are women who either: want to test the waters of strongman for the very first time or are just your average gym girl wanting to come test her strength. Again, absolutely NO women athletes with strongman competition experience will be allowed in the Mini Beast class. Should you sign up and disregard this note, you will be REMOVED WITHOUT REFUND.
SIGN UP DEADLINE EXTENDED BUT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A SHIRT TO THOSE SIGNING UP AFTER NOV 10TH!!!
Events *NOTE ALL WEIGHTS AND WEIGHT JUMPS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY POINT.
Wagon Wheel Deadlift for Reps:
Mini, Open, & Masters Athletes will have 60 seconds to pull as many reps as possible on a regular deadlift bar using 13” wagon wheels. Judges will give down commands when full lockout is reached: hips through, shoulders back. Athletes will strap in on their own time. Judge will start timer when athlete is ready. NO TOUCH & GO! NO BOUNCING THE REPS! Fully reset required every rep. Weights TBA.
- Mini athletes will be deadlifting a trap bar deadlift for reps.
Gear Allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, straps, wrist wraps, chalk, knee sleeves, deadlift socks.
Not Allowed: Deadlift suits, deadlift briefs, tacky or sticky of any kind.
Max Weight Circus Dumbbell:
Mini, Open, & Masters Athletes will all have the opportunity to attempt 3 jumps to reach a max weight on the circus dumbbell. Athletes will get 45 seconds to complete each attempt. Lockout is elbow fully extended, legs straight. Down command will be given as soon as control of the overhead is shown. This will be Wessels Rules meaning athletes can hop in at any jump but miss an attempt and you are out. Jumps will be 10lb increments. We will start with a 50lbs CBD for all non-"Mini" athletes and switch to an 80lbs Titan CDB once we hit that weight mark.
- Mini athletes will be pressing a regular dumbbell with a fat grip on the handle
Gear Allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, grip shirts, chalk, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves
Not Allowed: tacky or sticky of any kind.
Sandbag Carry for Max Distance:
Mini, Open, & Masters Athletes will start at a cone. On judge’s command, the athlete will quickly pick up and begin to carry the sandbag around the outside square of set cones which will all be 20ft apart. Athletes will have 1 min to get as many laps around the cones as possible before time stops. Time will also stop and distance will be taken if the athlete drops the bag before the minute is up. Max distance in 1 minute wins the event. If no one carries the full 1 min, furthest distance will be taken as the winner.
Gear Allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, chalk, knee sleeves, grip shirt
Not Allowed: tacky or sticky of any kind.
TRAP BAR MEDLEY: Zercher Carry to "Frame" Carry
Novice, Open, & Masters Athletes will pick an open trap bar Zercher style on the judge's "lift" command. Time will begin and the athlete will Zercher carry that trap bar 50ft. At the 50ft mark, they will CAREFULLY set the open trap bar down and pick up the "frame" aka a hex trap bar and carry it back 50ft. Time will stop when the athlete crosses the starting line with the hex trap bar. This is a fastest time wins event. All athletes will be allotted unlimited drops and 90 seconds to complete the course.
Gear Allowed: hard belt, soft belt, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves/wraps, wrist wraps, chalk, grip shirt
Not Allowed: Tacky or sticky of any kind, deadlift straps of any kind
Truck Pull/Car Push:
Mini, Open, & Masters Athletes will be harnessed in and pull a truck with a guide rope 50ft as quickly as possible. Time stops when the front of the vehicle crosses the 50ft mark. Fastest pull time wins the event.
- Mini athletes will be pushing a small car instead of pulling a truck.
Gear Allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, receiving gloves, chalk, knee sleeves
Not Allowed: tacky or sticky of any kind.
