Farmers Carry the Boats:

  1. This event will have a cap of 90-seconds to complete the event.
  2. Athletes will carry the Farmers implements from the starting line, down and across the marked 40ft line (you only need the two most forward ends to break the plane of the 40ft line, not the whole implement).
  3. Once across the line, the athlete will execute 3 reps of a deadlift using the Farmers implements. Athletes will be given a DOWN command for each successful rep.
  4. After the 3rd rep, athletes will turn around and re-pick the Farmers implements, and hurry back to the start line. The ENTIRE implement (weight plates too) must cross over and be clear of the start/finish line.
  5. Once across the line, the athlete will execute 3 reps of a deadlift using the Farmers implements. Athletes will be given a DOWN command for each successful rep.
  6. Time stops once the 3rd rep is completed.
  7. No lifting suits, or tacky/ tacky cloth will be allowed. The ONLY grip aid allowed will be traditional wrist wraps (no figure 8) grip shirts, gloves, or chalk.

Thor's Hammer Hold:

  1. Athletes will begin with their backs flat against a vertical support, and weight held in both hands at the athletes chest.
  2. Once given an ATHLETES READY command, you will fully extend your arms out parallel with the ground creating a 90 degree angle with your body.
  3. At full extension, a GO command will be given and time will start. You maintain parallel arms at full extension with your entire back supported against the vertical support.
  4. Athletes will be given a warning if their arms are too low/high or if their backs come off the support. After a warning is given, if the issue with the arms or back are not resolved, the judge will stop your time.
  5. No lifting suits, or tacky/ tacky cloth will be allowed. The ONLY grip aid allowed will be grip shirts, gloves, or chalk.

Yoke and Sandbag Medley:

  1. This event will have a cap of 90-seconds to complete the event.
  2. Athletes will carry the Yoke from the starting line, down and across the marked 40ft line (you only need the two most forward ends to break the plane of the 40ft line, not the whole implement).
  3. Once athletes cross the line with the yoke, they will drop it and sprint back to the start line to retrieve their sandbag. The athlete will then carry the sandbag 40ft to the yoke, and lift/toss the sandbag over the yoke crossbar.
  4. After the sandbag clears the crossbar, the yoke is then re-shouldered and carried back to the starting line. The ENTIRE implement (weight plates too) must cross over and be clear of the finish line for time to stop.
  5. No lifting suits, or tacky/ tacky cloth will be allowed. The ONLY grip aid allowed will be grip shirts, gloves, or chalk.

Boulder Shoulders:

  1. This event will be 90-seconds of max effort.
  2. Given a sandbag, the athlete must lift the bag to a shoulder and remove/extend one hand showing control.
  3. Once control of the sandbag in the shouldered position is demonstrated, you will receive a DOWN command from the judge.
  4. The sandbag must touch the ground after each rep. It can be dropped from the shoulder or athletes will be allowed to do the touch-and-go method.
  5. No lifting suits, or tacky/ tacky cloth will be allowed. The ONLY grip aid allowed will be grip shirts, gloves, or chalk.

Type 6 Fire Truck pull:

  1. This event will have a cap of 90-seconds to complete the event.
  2. Athletes will be harnessed to the front bumper of the Type 6 and they will start with a 2" rope in their hands anchored at the finish line.
  3. On "GO" the athletes will begin using their legs and arms to pull the fire truck 40 feet across the finish line. The time will stop when the front bumper of the truck crosses the 40 foot line.
  4. If an athlete does not complete the total distance in the 60 second time frame, they will be given a score based on total distance pulled.
  5. No lifting straps, lifting suits, or tacky/ tacky cloth will be allowed. The ONLY grip aid allowed will be gloves or chalk.
