MAX LOG

Rules:

Athlete will have three attempts to reach their max log clean and press.

Athlete will place hands on log, signal their ready to the judge. The judge will then announce athlete ready? SET, LIFT. At that point in time, the judge will start clock. Athlete will have one full minute to clean and press the log to full lockout. Men will be lifting a 12" log, women will be lifting a 10" log. For a rep to count, the athlete's knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows must be in a full "lockout" position for a measurable amount of time. Athlete MUST wait for the judge's DOWN command. Once athlete receives a down command, athlete MUST lower the log down in a controlled manner. If athlete drops log from high position or slams it onto crash pads after lockout, athlete will receive a "No-rep" and further disciplinary actions may be taken depending on severity of infraction. No warnings will be given.

Wessel's Rule will apply- Weights will be called out going from lightest to heaviest. 20lb jumps for men and 10lb jumps for women and teens.

Heaviest weight wins!!!!

Allowed:

Grip shirt, grip shorts, wrist straps, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, knee wraps, one soft belt and one hard belt. Squat shoes will be allowed. Athlete can press any way they prefer, viper, strict, push press, push jerk, split jerk, whatever, doesn't matter.

Not allowed:

No tacky, obviously. No shelf belts. No resting log on head during press. No bouncing log off of crash pads to assist with clean.

ARM OVER ARM TRUCK PULL

Rules:

Athlete will pull rope tight while standing on top of stationary object (probably a tire). Athlete will signal their ready to the judge. Once athlete signals ready, the judge will state, athlete ready? SET, LIFT. At that point, judge will start timer and the athlete will have one full minute to pull the truck a total of 50'. Fastest time wins. Split distances will be taken in the event of  competitor(s) not finishing event.

Allowed:

Grip shirt, grip shorts, wrist straps, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, knee wraps, one soft belt and one hard belt. Athlete WILL be allowed to have butt off of the stationary object (probably a tire) for the entire attempt, if they so please. Choose your strategy for this event wisely, athlete must remain on top of stationary object for the duration of event.

Not Allowed:

Athlete will not be allowed to pull the rope from any other place besides on top of the stationary object. If one or both feet fall off the stationary object (probably a tire) the athlete will receive a zero for the event. No warnings will be given. This rule is in place primarily for athlete safety; but also so that athlete doesn't get unfair distance or traction advantage by being off of the stationary object. In the event of athlete slipping backwards due to the rope slipping from grip deficiencies, athlete will be permitted to get re-set with the rope on the tire while the time is still running. Once judge starts timer, the attempt will not end until the truck crosses the fifty foot line, or the one minute time cap is up.

HUSAFELL STONE CARRY

Rules:

Athlete will take grip on a Titan Fitness Husafell Stone Replica. When athlete is ready, they will pick the stone up and walk with implement for as far as possible. Event will take place on grass, be prepared. Athlete will walk in straight line for 50', then turn and go 50' back. This will continue until athlete drops the implement, or they signal their finish to the judge. Athlete must reach 50' line before they can start walking the other direction. Athlete can start turning or walking sideways prior to reaching that point. Once athlete foot touches on or past the 50' line, judge will announce TURN. And this will continue at each 50' mark.   This is an untimed event.

Furthest distance wins!!!!

Allowed:

Athlete must reach 50' line before they can start walking the other direction. One hard belt and one soft belt will be permitted. Wrist straps, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, knee wraps, etc... will all be allowed. Chalk is allowed and encouraged.

Not Allowed:

NO TACKY!! No grip shirts or grip shorts will be allowed. No tape will allowed. No tacky spray or tacky towel will be allowed. If you want to wear something that helps grip the stone to your body, it's probably not allowed. The previously listed items are not exhaustive. There's probably more stuff out there that won't be allowed. Trying to make this as realistic as possible!!

ODD OBJECT LOADING MEDLEY

Rules:

This event is usually an athlete favorite. Athlete will place both hands on a loading platform and signal their ready to the judge. Once athlete signals their ready, judge will announce athlete ready? SET, LIFT.  Once this is announced, athlete will have one full minute to load five odd object implements to a platform. If athlete completes all five implements, athlete must turn and somehow signal their finish to judge for them to stop the timer.  Very simple, yet fun event. Fastest time or most implements loaded in the fastest time will win the event.
