Come celebrate the holidays by performing feats of strength with us at "A Very Strongman Christmas" December 10, 2022 at Steam Hollow Brewery in Manteno.

The event kicks off with the Giant Candy Cane (steel log) Overhead Press.  It will be a single clean, press for reps with 60 second time limit.  You must wait for down command after full lockout, Santa doesn't count bodybuilder half reps.

Competitors will continue by helping Santa test out his ride with the Sleigh Deadlift (frame deadlift for reps). You'll be given a down command when hips are fully locked, an up command when apparatus touches floor,  and have 60 seconds to complete as many sleigh check reps as possible.

Next, you will be assisting Santa with loading bags in Santa's Logistical Gift Medley. Santa's bag (sandbag) will be carried 40 feet to a sled preloaded with gifts which will be pushed back 40 feet. Fastest time wins, with a maximum 60 second time limit.  Sandbag weights are posted, sled weights will be added after sled weight testing.

In the final round,  competitors will face the Chimney Load and have 60 seconds to get Santa's bag over the chimney (sandbag over bar) as many times as they can. 

Weights for all events and weight classes are listed on the spreadsheet below. 
Belts, wraps, sleeves, straps, chalk etc. are all allowed. No tacky, no cranes, and no forklifts. The top 3 competitors in each weight class will qualify for 2023 USS Nationals.

Early weigh-ins will be Friday December 9, 4:00-6:00pm at Steam Hollow or competitors can weigh-in just before the event between 1:00-2:15pm.

Parking is free and available in front of building and down the street.  Spectator admission is also free.

Steam Hollow will have a number of beer and other beverage options available for purchase including gluten free and gluten reduced options.  The Neighborhood Kitchen food truck will be in attendance serving comfort food-style egg rolls, gourmet grilled cheeses, and more.
