Strongman takes the stage again with festive feats of strength at the historic Majestic theater! Built over 100 years ago, the former vaudeville theater will now be home to 4 silly strongman events bursting with Christmas cheer! (Plus food and drinks to make a full day of merriment.)

Events

Reindeer Gainz Viking Press

Sure, the reindeer are magic, but they still need a boost to fly. That’s where you come in. You’ll Viking Press those guys as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Handles will be 24” apart, parallel/neutral grip, and you’ll be facing the implement.  Knee wraps, wrist wraps, and belts are fine. In the spirit of giving, double dips will be allowed. Once you start, you will not be allowed to set the implement down.

Sleigh Squat

Time to test out Santa’s sleigh, and make sure it’s rooftop-ready! The sleigh will be on a frame behind you, you’ll start in the top position, and have weight added after each of your first 3 reps. Once you reach the top weight, you can rep it out for the rest of the 60 seconds. This will just be for reps, no split times taken. Knee sleeves are wraps are fine, no squat suits, groove briefs, or jet packs.

Mega Marshmallow Toss

Santa has a big job, so he needs a big cup of cocoa! Your job is to toss three giant marshmallow sandbags over the candy cane bar to get his mug filled with the sugar he needs to fuel his journey. Split times will be taken, you’ll have 60 seconds to get all three mega mallows over the bar. (10 feet high for women, 12 feet for men) The marshmallows are made from sea bags and laundry bags. They do not have handles (like marshmallows), but you can grab up the extra fabric to hold on to them. Gloves are allowed.

Ho Ho Hold On

It’s a Hercules Hold! But Christmas themed! We’ll update with details once the equipment is made. We hope to have it finished early in the year so it can be tested and trained with. No straps or tacky.

This contest is sanctioned by United States Strongman, and is a qualifier for 2026 Nationals.

Spectator Info

Spectator admission is $15 for everyone 13 years and older. Tables and chairs will be set up, so you’ll have a good view of the stage and room for food and drinks!  A limited number of VIP admissions will also be available for the 2nd and 3rd level balconies for $25. Balcony levels also have tables and chairs, as well as a small area with couches.

Spectator tickets will be available online at eventbrite (we’ll post a link here closer to the event) or you can pay cash at the door.

 Live Stream:

Family far away? Fear not - They can watch your competition live (for free!) on our One Way Strength Channel on YouTube. Laarni Mulvey of Athlete Ready Sideline Sports will be streaming with play by play and commentary. Your fans can ask her questions and wish you well, and the replay will be available for you to watch later or go over with your coach. 

Food & Drinks

There will be a local food vendor on hand (possibly tacos again), and The Majestic bar will be open and serving a wide variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

No outside food or drink, please.

Parking

There are large free public parking lots behind and beside the building with plenty of spaces.

Festive Dress

You definitely don’t have to dress Christmas-y, but we’re pretty sure you’ll be able to lift more if you do.
