All Out Strongfest
$40
Aston, PA
All Out Strongfest is our novice friendly, weight and gender inclusive comp! You pick your group based on approximate current strength/experience level. If you don't know your one-rep maxes right now, it's okay! Pick the group you think suits you, and we can reassign your group if things change before event day.
We'll do three strongman events, and you'll choose your class based on your current maxes. We'll be donating a portion of proceeds to UDTJ, a Delco based organization that organizes Delco Pride events, and provides other services focused on supporting LGBTQ folks.
Costumes strongly encouraged but not required! No comp shirt will be provided/required.
The events:
Deadlift Rules
Athlete will begin hands off the implement which will be a trap bar loaded with metal plates. On receiving a “3-2-1 Go”, the athlete will begin. Athlete must wait for a “down” command and control the implement to the floor for each rep. Dropping the implement will result in a no-rep. Dropping it more than once will result in a zero for the event. Athlete will receive a down command once the deadlift is locked out with hips fully open, knees locked, and shoulders over the hips. Athlete may use straps, but strapping in will be on the athlete’s time. Athlete will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. For a rep to count, it must be locked out (that is, receive a “down” command) before time is up.
Equipment Allowed: belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk (liquid or powder), straps (figure-8, Versa grip style, or regular)
Equipment NOT Allowed: no hook-style straps or grips, NO grip shirts or grip shorts, nothing sticky, no suits/briefs (neoprene are fine, but nothing single-ply or multi-ply).
Atlas Stone to Platform
Athlete will load a series of three stones to a platform. Athlete will begin with the lightest stone to the highest height and work up in weight and down in height. Athlete will begin forearms touching the platform and can begin at “3-2-1 Go”. Stones cannot be loaded from the shoulder. Athlete’s hands must not touch the platform. Athlete may wear any shirt (or no shirt) for this event as long as it is NOT a grip shirt. We're also allowing tacky on this event; however, we're being super strict about cleanup. There will be a designated cleanup area. Please don’t wander all over the gym, and DO NOT clean up in the front bathroom! Split times will be recorded to break ties in the event that all three stones are not loaded. Athlete will have a max of 60 seconds to load all three stones. Fastest time to load wins! If all stones are not loaded, the sore will be the number of stones successfully loaded within time.
Equipment Allowed: tacky, tape, stone sleeves, belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, neoprene shorts (like Cerberus, SBD, etc)
Equipment NOT Allowed: suits or briefs (the kind used in single-ply, multi-ply or other geared lifting), knee wraps (the kind used in geared powerlifting).
Harness truck pull
Athlete will pull a truck 50ft with a harness. A rope will be available to use for assistance. Athlete will begin with hands on the rope. Athlete will begin on “3-2-1 Go” and will have 60 seconds to reach the end, touching the tire at the end. Fastest time wins. If the distance is not completed within time, total distance will be measured.
Equipment Allowed: gloves, belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk (liquid or powder).
Equipment NOT Allowed: NO tacky or anything sticky (this will result in disqualification), suits or briefs, knee wraps.
The Power Plant Gym, located on Mount Road in Aston, PA, USA, is the place to be for this epic event. Don't miss out on the opportunity to push your limits and have a blast doing it.
Choosing Your Class
In order to create the most inclusive experience possible, All Out Strongfest eliminates weight and gender classes in registration. That means we will not ask you to weigh in or to specify a gender identity to compete. That said, we acknowledge that there is a broad range of strength and experience, so we are offering 5 Groups to choose from to compete.
