  • All competitors (including novice) must have active Strongman Corporation membership to compete
  • Note that "Strongman Corporation" (aka "SC") is not the same as "United States Strongman" (aka "USS"). Please make sure your membership is active for the correct federation. The membership is COMPLETELY SEPARATE from this registration page.
  • Competition shirt must be worn and visible for all events (except stones).

Weight Class Notes: Teen and Masters classes are "open" meaning there is only one weight class for each. If you're a lighter bodyweight, considering competing in Novice or Open if the Masters/Teen weights are too heavy. If weight classes are combined, the combined class will use the lower weights (eg. if u200 and u231 are combined, we'll use the u200 weights).

Weigh-Ins will be at the following times and locations. There are NO exceptions to these times. ALL athletes must weigh in (including HW and Novice).

  • Saturday 3/9 @ Gage Strength Training: 7:30-8:30am

Event Descriptions

  1. Axle Clean & Press Away (max reps): Athlete has 60 seconds to press an axle as many times as possible. Athlete will start 3ft behind the axle (which starts on the floor). The bar does not need to return to the floor to be re-cleaned between reps (i.e. athlete may "press away"). Unlimited drops are allowed, and any drops MUST be controlled to the floor (or will result in a "no rep"). Athlete will receive a "down" command at the top of each rep when elbows are locked out, knees are locked out, feet are on a straight line, and bar is under control overhead. The bar must return to the shoulders (or at least below chin level) between each rep. "Cycling" reps is totally fine. Any style of overhead press is allowed (strict, push, power, split). Belt cleans are allowed. Axle is a Rogue 25# axle. Axle weights below 165# will be standard bumper plates at standard (9") height. Axle weights 165# and over will be 70# Rogue bumpers (Rogue "26'er" i.e. a 13" pick). Allowed Equipment: belt, knee sleeves/wraps, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk (liquid or powder). Not Allowed: NO GRIP SHIRTS, NO built up belts (an "under" belt and an "over" belt, and that's it), NO suits/briefs.
  2. Dinnie Pin Hold (max time): Athlete will hold Dinnie Pins for as long as possible. Time starts when both weights are completely off the ground with athlete's knees and hips locked out. Athlete must remain in locked out position for the duration of the hold. Judges will give one warning to adjust position; time will be called if position cannot be fixed or degrades again. Time stops when the first implement touches the ground. Pins will be Cerberus Replica Dinnie Stone Handles, and weights are listed as "heavy/tall" + "light/short." Allowed Equipment: belt, chalk (liquid or powder), knee sleeves/wraps, elbows sleeves, wrist wraps. Thumbs may be taped with athletic tape only and hook grip is allowed. Not Allowed: NO straps or grip aids of any kind, nothing sticky, NO suits/briefs.
  3. Fatback Farmer Carry (for time): Athlete will carry farmer handles 20ft, stop and deadlift the handles 3 times, carry another 20ft, then deadlift another 3 times. Fastest time wins, and time will be capped at 60 seconds. There will be clear lines to stop at each "deadlift zone." Athlete starts with hands off the implement. Time starts at "3-2-1-Go" and ends when the athlete receives a "down" command on the last rep. "Down" commands will be given on each rep when the athlete's knees and hips are fully locked out. "Touch and go" reps are fine, but ALL FOUR CORNERS must touch the ground between reps. Unlimited grip-related drops are allowed. Absolutely NO dropping from the top of a deadlift. No distances will be measured. Each completed deadlift rep (with the exception of the initial pick) counts as 1 rep, and each completed 20ft carry counts as 1 "rep." For example, if an athlete completes the first set of deadlifts and the next carry but can't re-pick the handles, their score will be 5 (20ft carry + 3 reps + 20ft carry). A complete medley will be 8 reps (20ft carry + 3 reps + 20ft carry + 3 reps). Farmer handles are MB Power Center Pro-conomy Handles with a 16" pick height. Allowed Equipment: belt, knee sleeves/wraps, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk (liquid or powder). Not allowed: NO SUITS/BRIEFS, NO straps or grip aids, nothing sticky.
  4. Keg Carry + Arm-Over-Arm Sled Drag (for time): Athlete has a max of 60 seconds to carry a keg 40ft, run back 40ft, then arm-over-arm pull a sled 40ft. Keg must be carried in front of the body (no shouldering) and walking forward. Drops are allowed. If the keg rolls when dropped, the athlete must return it to the place where it was dropped to continue the carry. Keg must be placed standing upright in the drop zone in order to move on to the sled drag. Sled may be pulled standing or seated. There will be a foot board (or similar) for athletes who want to sit. Time stops when the athlete's hands reach a designated line on the rope (sled will be very close to the athlete at the finish line). Distance will be measured for incomplete implements. Kegs 140lbs and over will be MB Power Center Power Kegs. Kegs below 140lbs will be standard metal kegs filled with water. Sled is a Rogue Dog Sled with plastic skids. Rope diameter is 1.5". The carry will be on rubber floor, and the sled will be on turf. Allowed Equipment: belt, knee sleeves/wraps, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, non-tacky gloves, chalk (liquid or powder). Not Allowed: nothing sticky, no suits/briefs.
  5. Stone Over Bar (reps): Athlete will load a stone over a bar as many times as possible in 60 seconds with NO TACKY. Athlete starts with hands palm-up on the bar. For every rep, the stone must be taken from the ground, not from the mat that it falls onto. If you put it over clean and controlled, we'll return it in a timely manner. The athlete may not grab the bar at any time to assist in getting the stone over the bar. Time starts at "3-2-1-Go." For a rep at the end of the attempt to count, the stone must be traveling on its own over the bar when time is called (i.e. athlete's hands are off the stone and it's on its way to the mat). Bar heights: All Women will be at 44". Men's Teen and Novice175 will be at 48". All other classes will be 52". Allowed Equipment: belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, non-tacky gloves, chalk (liquid or powder), tacky towels, spray tack. Not Allowed: NO TACKY (like Spider Tack, Elite Tacky, Atlas Tacky, or similar products), NO grip shirts, nothing sticky, NO suits/briefs.
