Amateur Log Press Championships

This is a Strongman Corporation Amateur record breaker event. Virginia state records and Strongman Corporation national records are yours for the taking! The Amateur Log Press Championships are in conjunction with The Barn's Strongest, a full 5-event Strongman Corporation sanctioned show. Those competing in the entire show are eligible for the Record Breaker and do not need to pay an extra entry fee. You must have a Strongman Corporation membership card to compete!!! Every athlete must weigh-in, regardless of their class. Weigh-ins will be available at The Barn Gym 02/24/23 from 9:00am-12:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm, and the morning of (02/25/23) from 8:00am-8:45am. The rules meeting will be at 9:00 and the competition will start at 9:30.

Max Log: Last One Standing RECORD BREAKER

On the judge's command, you will have 30 seconds to clean the log from crash pads and lock it out overhead. Strict press, push press, squat jerk, split jerk, are all allowed. Heck, you can viper it if you want to; we don't care as long as your elbows are locked out, your head is through, and your feet are together. No resting the log on your head. WAIT FOR THE DOWN COMMAND. If you do not wait for the down command or you drop the log from overhead, we will no-rep you. Attempts are unlimited, but once you're in, you must take every weight jump, and you are out once you miss. 10lb jumps for women, 20lb jumps for men. We will allow warm-ups as the weight goes up, but you MUST tell your judge that it's a warm-up or it will be counted as an attempt. Current National records are listed below, and we will have the VA State Records posted as soon as possible!

Equipment allowed: grip shirts, belts, sleeves, gloves, wrist wraps

Equipment not allowed: anything sticky, elbow wraps
