This is a United States Strongman (USS) Strongman Competition. Current membership will be required of all athletes.

Registration: $100. Includes a T-Shirt, challenge coin, and event photographer.
* Early Registration is $85.00.
* Note: Registration after July 12th will not come with a T-Shirt or Challenge Coin. Please make sure you sign up early!

* $10 spectator fee. Available on Iron Podium, or at the event.

Date/Time: Saturday, August 3rd at 9am. Mandatory rules meeting at 8:30. Check in begins at 7am, all athletes must be checked in by 8:15am. No refunds, no transfers. Weigh in will occur at Check in. For those cutting or needing to weigh in early there's an optional early weigh in / check in on Friday August 2nd from 7am to 10am and again from 6pm to 9pm. 
$10 spectator fee, can be purchased through iron podium.

Sportsmanship is required before, during, and after the event. And that includes any branch-to-branch rivalry; let's keep it fun! This is the best sport in the world, let's work together to keep it that way.

EVENT DETAILS:

Event 1: 

 Fingals Finger: On go the athlete will have 60 seconds to flip as many fingers over as possible.  Fastest time wins. Split times will be recorded to break any ties. Equipment allowed: Belt, grip shirt, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, gloves, chalk, warm shorts.   Not Allowed: tacky, suits

Event 2:

 Lever Deadlift: On go the athlete will have 60 seconds complete Deadlifts for each position. Athlete will start in the first eyelet, after the down command the athlete will unhook and move to the next eyelet. Split times will be taken for each eyelet. Fastest time wins. Equipment allowed: Belt, Straps,  knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk, warm shorts. Equipment not allowed: No suits, anything sticky( ie: tacky, liquid tacky, tacky towel). All weights posted are starting weight and  ending weight.

Event 3:

 Max Log Clean and Press: Wessels rules. Athlete will have three attempts to find a max. Most weight pressed wins. Women will use a 10-inch log and have 10Lb jumps. Men will use a 12-inch log and have 20Lb jumps. equipment allowed: grip shirt, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, warm shorts, belt, chalk. Equipment not allowed: Tacky, suits, straps.  State Records in each weight class up for grabs!!!!  If you are going for a record you have let the Judge know its for a record or it will not count. All state records must be Judge by the State Chair.

Event 4: 

Carry and Load Medley: On go athlete will have 60 seconds to complete a 50ft yoke walk, the athlete will run back and grab a keg and carry it 50ft. to the yoke they just walked and load the keg over the crossbar, then carry the duckwalk  implement back the starting line to finish. Fastest time or farthest distance wins.  Equipment allowed: Belt, chalk, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, grip shirt, warm shorts. Equipment not allowed: Tacky, straps, suits. 

Event 5: 

Last man Standing Stone over Bar: On this event we will reorder the weight classes. The first two athletes with least points in each weight class will start and go back and forth loading the stone over the bar until someone fails. When an athlete fails, the next athlete in line will come in and continue loading back and forth until one athlete is left. The last athlete left will continue loading over the bar having stone rolled back to them until they can no longer complete the load over the bar. Athletes, once the stone lands on your side of the bar, you will have 10 seconds to get on the stone and begin to pick the stone. If you drop stone after you have lapped it on your side of the bar you are done. Most reps wins. Equipment allowed: TACKY!!!!, belts, stone sleeves, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, warm shorts, chalk. Equipment not allowed: no stone straps, suits.

All Weights are subject to change

Veteran Open and Auxiliary classes will all complete in five events just like any normal strongman competition.
 

However, please remember this is a Veteran-specific strongman competition: Only the Veteran Open Classes are competing for the title of America's Strongest Veteran.
