Fit Core Supplements
3805 Main St Unit 106, The Colony, TX 75056
Saturday:
Appointment only!!!!
This needs to be a good reason that you can't weigh-in on Friday. This is extremely inconvenient on comp days and typically delays our start times. If you can make it Friday, be there Friday. You have 3 months notice to make arrangements. Examples of acceptable reasons: There was an emergency that was unforeseen and you literally can't make it, You're a police officer, firefighter, EMS, Nurse, Doctor, or active military and cannot get off duty. Anything else will probably be denied.

EVENTS AND EVENT ORDER
AXLE CLEAN AND PRESS
This will be a max rep in 60 seconds event. You will clean and press away for as many reps as possible. You may set the weight down between reps if you want to, but it is not required. Athlete will start with hands OFF the implement. Athlete must have both arms locked out, head pushed through, and feet relatively parallel to each other. You may clean and press the weight with any technique (yes, belt cleans are ok. so is every version of the jerk, split jerk, push press, etc..) , Must wait for the judges down command. Must wear either comp shirt or grip shirt. Absolutely no dropping or slamming the weight. If it's on accident, you get a Zero on the event, if it on purpose, you get DQ's from the contest.
This will be a standard 2" Axle with bumper plates. This will NOT be off of pads or any elevation.
FARMERS CARRY
This will be an as fast as possible event for 30 feet. Athlete will start with hands on the implement. On the judges "Go" command you will pick up the implement and carry it as fast as possible for 30 ft.
Unlimited drops
45 second time limit
NO STRAPS/HOOKS/ETC...
WHEEL OF PAIN
Not to be mistaken for the traditional Conan's wheel. This is an implement to replicate the wheel of pain created for the Arnold Sports Festival in 2019. No, we don't have a wood carver making an epic replica, but it will be a push event that does not gain momentum. Athletes will start with hands off the implement and on the judges "GO" command, the athlete will push the implement with his or her hands and driving the beam in a circle for as far as possible. We'll get a video together for this one soon. Huge shout out to David Accardo with Stix & Stone for bringing this idea my way, as well as building it!
Must Push with hands and be facing forward.
UKRANIAN DEAD-SLED
This is a hard one to explain, but it's never been done (that I'm aware of), and it's going to be fun. You will be deadlifting at the top of the stairs of despair, and you will be utilizing a handle like a Ukrainian deadlift handle. You will be deadlifting a sled through a series of ratchets and pulleys to slide a sled to a known distance. The goal is to get the sled from A-B as fast as possible. You get to decide your deadlift height after the first pull. The first pull for everyone starts low and every pull after that is up to the lifter. If it's heavy,, you may want to do a higher pull (like an 18" dl), if it's not heavy for you, you may want to do full range of motion pulls to get the sled there faster. Don't worry, we will post a video of this when the implement is ready. We can all thank the amazing David Accardo with Stix & Stone for putting together this amazing contraption for us.
No Straps
If you throw the handle you will be DQ'd from this and all future events.
STAIRS OF DESPAIR
This is similar to a normal power stairs, except you will have to do a short carry on each stair. The stairs are 4ft x 4ft, so you will lift the implement, carry 4 ft, and lift again for each stair. Their are 4 stairs. you will have 2 implements to carry from bottom to top.
