Location: 1290 Toms River Road Jackson NJ, 08527 at Jackson Amvets Post 2

Date: Saturday May 31, 2025

Time: 8:00am-2:30pm Rules reading starts at 9am, lifting will start around 10:00am and end around 2:00pm

There is a canteen on premises that opens at 11am.  Competitors are not allowed to drink until after the lifting is over if you are caught drinking you will be asked to leave immediately.

Event 1: Axle Press for Reps

Athlete will have a 60 second time limit, the athlete will have to perform a clean with each rep. A down signal will be given from the top.  If the implement is dropped before the down signal, it will not be counted towards the athletes total.  Equipment allowed includes knee sleeves, wrist wraps, belt, elbow sleeves, & chalk.

Event 2:  Wagon Wheel Deadlift

Athlete will have a 60 second time limit, the athlete will have to perform a conventional deadlift from wagon wheel height. The  athlete will be given a down command.  Equipment allowed includes lifting straps both figure eight and regular, belt, & chalk.

Event 3: Sandbag Over Bar

Athlete will have a 90 second time limit, the athlete will have to pick the sandbag and lift it over a bar set at 50 inches. The sandbag will not be rolled back. The athlete must go around to the other side of the bar to complete the next rep. The athlete will not be allowed to touch the bar or uprights to assist the lift.  Equipment allowed includes belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, & wrist wraps.  No Chalk on the sandbags.

Event 4: Farmers Carry

Athlete will have 60 seconds to pick up the farmers handles and walk 40 feet.  The front of the equipment must cross the finish line.  No Drops are allowed.  If the implement is dropped, the athlete will be given a distance instead of a time as a score. The equipment allowed includes knee sleeves, wrist wraps, belt, elbow sleeves, & chalk.

Event 5: Tire Toss

Athlete will have three attempts to toss a car tire as far as possible.  The event will be set up in a track and field style, athlete will need to stay inside the circle while throwing.  The farthest distance will be recorded and used for scoring.  Chalk is the only equipment allowed for this event.

This competition will be held outside please plan accordingly, there will be plenty of room for athletes to set up.
