Welcome to USS Arkansas Strongest 2025

This year (2025) the show is under new Management! LOL!  Antonio Aguilera and David Huckleby will be running the show!  We really appreciate Amy and the job she has done with this amazing show!

General Admission: $25, Kids 12 & Under: FREE. You get full access to the expo, not just Strongman.

We will have a photographer on site!  ***Probably***

Wrist bands will be required for athletes in order to not pay the entrance fee.  We will work out a way for people that weigh in on Saturday to get their wrist bands.  We will notify via email and update ironpodium as well.

Food is available at the venue, I am pretty sure they do not want spectators to bring in outside food.

Athlete meeting at 830 am, I would advise you to be there for the meeting, in case something changes.

Rules are common sense.  You know how to do the lifts and everyone has the same advantage in how they interpret the rules.  We may make a minor adjutment here or there to the rules.  If we do anything drastic, we will email you.

If it’s not in the rules, please don’t ask if X or Y is allowed.  Some people are going to work hard to cheat.  Don’t spoil their day by asking if you can put bungee cords on the ceiling to help in deadlift.  Help your fellow athletes out.

Events:

Conan’s Wheel

You have one minute to carry Conan’s wheel as far as you can.  No Drops.

Once you drop it, your run is complete.

Equipment:  You can not tie yourself to the implement and no tacky.  Zercher type carry is preferred.  Attend the rules meeting for an exact description, in case something changes

Male and Female that go the furthest will each receive a Championship Belt signed by Arnold! (That’s a lie, but you will get awesome belts)

Viking Press for Reps

60 second time limit

Facing away from the implement, you get one minute to get as many reps as possible.  No double dipping on the lift.  This isn’t a bowl of queso.

Equipment:  No tacky

Mammoth Bar Deadlift for reps

Grip it and rip it.  You get one minute to get max reps.  Hitch, pray, curse or whatever it takes to get the reps.  Lock it out and leave no doubt.

Equipment:  No baby oil, I don’t really care about anything else.  You need 12 belts:? Wear them.  No staples or duct tape.  If you pee, bleed or have any other fluids on the bar...  Be a champ and clean up your own biohazard.

$500 goes to the person with the most reps.  Thank you to David Shirley and Invictus Powerlifting for providing the prize money.

Sandbag Carry and Load

2 bags, one minute, go as fast as humanly possible.  Carry, roll, shoulder, it doesn’t matter. Carry, load, rinse, repeat. Completion time or measured for distance.

Equipment:  Don’t slide the bag and no flip flops.

Max Circus Dumbbell

You have 3 attempts utiling Wessels rule.  3 attempts and you get 1 minute per try.  If you miss a lift, you are done and will not proceed to another turn.  Get the dumbbell overhead by any means necessary.  Must lock it out.  If you are old or injured and can’t do a good lockout, let the referee know.

Equipment:  Don’t wear six sleeves on your elbows.  Common sense applies.

Prizes

Championship Belts for Conan’s Wheel one for male and one for female.  In case of a tie, you get to do the event again, with a 15 second time limit with endless drops

Mammoth Bar Deadlift:  $500 to the person that gets the most reps, if there are any ties, the $500 will be split between you.

Overall Winners, this is a tough one and I’d love ideas.  Either $100 in some form for winner in each class, if and only if there is more than one person in the class (Legally I am banned from offering Butterball Turkey gift cards) or I am open to suggestions.  They always say there are no stupid questions, but we addressed that above.
