Max Log: Wessels Rules
Athletes will have 3 attempts at a max log attempt. Weight jumps are 10lbs for women and 20lbs for men. Starting weights are listed in your respective class. Each attempt has a 1 minute time limit, once the implement is dropped, you can try again as long as it is within the minute timeline. Athlete may split jerk, push jerk, push press, or strict press. You cannot rest log on your head at any point. You may re attempt the clean and press as many times as you want as long as it is within the 60 second time limit. Grip shirts are allowed as long as they are not strongman corporation grip shirts. Sleeves, wrist wraps, belts are all allowed.
Deadlift for Reps: 60 Second time limit
Athletes will have 1 minute to attempt as many reps as possible on a Texas Deadlift Bar with standard plates. Athlete will be given up and down commands. NO touch and go reps. Athlete will need to strap in during the 60 second time limit so be ready to strap in quickly. Hitching allowed, straps allowed, belts allowed, suits and briefs allowed. Do not throw the weight down at any point. Throwing the weight down at any point will result in a 0 in the event.
Bench Press for Reps with Chains: 60 Second time limit
Athletes will have 1 minute to attempt as many reps as possible. Athlete will have both up and down commands. Each rep will have a slight pause on the chest of each rep to prevent bouncing. Athlete can have the spotter give them a hand off if they choose. Athletes can rack the bar during the 60 seconds and rest, then unrack again to continue reps as long as it falls within the 60 seconds. If athlete fails a rep then they are done so be strategic about this.
Yoke/Sandbag Medley: 60 Second time limit
Athlete will start by running the yoke 50 feet. Once the front of the yoke crosses the line the athlete will need to run back and grab the sandbag from the starting line and run it 50 feet and finish by loading the sandbag over the yoke. Once the sandbag is loaded over the yoke athlete will receive a time. If the athlete does not finish either implement in the 60 seconds a distance will be given. Times will take more points than any distance. Athlete can shoulder the sandbag if they choose.
Sandbag to Shoulder: 60 Second time limit
Athlete will have 60 seconds to load pick and load the sandbag to their shoulder as many times as possible. The sandbag must be securely on the shoulder with one hand off the bag. Athlete must wait for the judge's down command before dropping the bag to the ground for the next rep. You may switch between shoulders or use the same shoulder.
