HAMMER THROW
Each athlete will be given 2 throws for the hammer throw. The best distance will be the final score. The athlete will stand behind a trig (or log of wood). The athlete will not be allowed to step over the trig at any time, if this occurs that throw will not be counted as a score. After the athlete finishes the throw, the athlete must go out into the field and assist with both measuring the distance and retrieving the implement.
STONE THROW
Each athlete will be given 2 throws for the stone throw. The best distance will be the final score. The athlete will stand behind a trig. The athlete will not be allowed to step over the trig at anytime, if this occurs that throw will not be counted as a score. This throw is done with one arm. After the athlete finishes the throw, the athlete must go out into the field to assist with both measuring the distance and retrieving the implement.
HUSAFELL STONE REPLICA
The stone carry will be done out in the field. Athlete will pick up the stone from the ground. Athlete has 30 seconds to pick up the stone and begin walking in a circle until the athlete can no longer hold the stone. Once the stone hits the ground, your distance walked will be measured from where you started to where your feet stop; not where the stone falls. Athlete can stop at any time to adjust the stone, but once the stone hits the ground the athlete is done. Best distance in each class wins. No tacky allowed.
18 INCH STRAPLESS DOUBLE OVERHAND DEADLIFT
Athlete has 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. Athlete must wait for the down command before setting the weight down. Athlete cannot drop the weight from the top, rep will not count. A complete rep is when the athlete stands up completely with the shoulders back, hips forward, and knees locked. No tacky allowed. No sumo allowed. No over under allowed. No deadlift suits allowed. A belt is allowed. The hands must be outside the legs when lifting. The most reps in 60 seconds wins the event in each class.
LOG PRESS
Athlete will pick up the log off the crash pads and clean the weight 1 time and press away as many reps as possible. Event will be 60 seconds. Athlete with the most reps after 60 seconds wins the event in each class. The athlete can rest with the weight on the ground or on the chest. Once 60 seconds has expired the athlete is done unless the weight is on the athletes chest and will allow 1 attempt to get last rep. A completed rep is when the athlete presses the weight overhead and has the elbows locked out at the top. If the elbows are not locked out and athlete drops the weight rep will not count. If athlete drops the weight from overhead rep will not count. If you have to put the weight down, set it down under control. If athlete has any issues with locking out the elbows overhead let us know and we will work with you.
