A 2022 Strongman Corporation Regionals Event! 

 

The qualifying spots for nationals at Regionals is, 

 

1st place - Arnold and Nationals

 

2nd place - Nationals

 

3rd place - Nationals

 

4th place - Nationals with 9 or more competitors per class

 

5th place - Nationals with 12 or more competitors per class. . 


WEIGH-INS Friday June 3rd:


8 AM-10 AM 
1 PM-3 PM 
5 PM -7PM 

If you do not weigh-in on Friday, you will have to weigh-in from 8 AM-9AM on the morning of the show. EVERYONE MUST WEIGH-IN! 

Weigh-ins on Friday are located at 580 Barbell (same venue as the competition)

COMPETITORS NEED TO ARRIVE BY 9 AM AT THE LATEST ON JUNE 4th! 
 

Rules will start shortly after 9 AM and first event at 10 AM. 

Axle Clean and Press Last Man Standing

  • 30 seconds to complete your rep.
  • Women classes jumps are in 10 lb increments, men 20.
  • Once a competitor chooses to take an attempt, they must do every attempt that follows or they are out.
  • Competitor will clean the axle to their shoulders and will press the weight overhead
  • A successful lift will have the competitor standing with hips through, locked knees and elbow locked at the top with head through
  • Competitor must wait for judge’s down command. Competitor must clean and press the rep.
  • Allowed: Wrist wraps, sleeves, chalk, grip shirts, belt
  • Not allowed: Tacky
  • Starting attempts are available on the weight the matrix.
  • Axle will have a middle marking and that is it

Hercules Hold

  • No time limit
  • One attempt for best time.
  • Athletes are to stand with arms extended, gripping handles that restrain weight from each side
  • Athlete must hold the handles straight out from the torso, a slight bend in the elbows in permitted however if bend becomes too great the judge has the right to stop the event and record the time.
  • Timing will stop when the athlete no longer is able to hold the weight, or time is called by the judge. The judge may read off time passed.
  • Allowed: Belt, chalk, knee wraps, sleeves, and wrist wraps
  • Not allowed: No tacky, gloves, straps, hook grip

Weight listed is on matrix is weight loaded per hand

Sandbag Over Bar

  • Women 48in/Men 52in
  • Sandbags adjusted by weight class (see weight matrix)
  • 60 second time limit
  • Athlete must start with his/her hands OFF of the sandbag.
  • When the “Go” command is given, the athlete will load the sandbag over the crossbar of a yoke and go to the other side and load it back and forth until time expires.
  • Athlete will have 60 seconds to load the sandbag for as many reps as possible.
  • The sandbag can touch the crossbar.
  • The rep will only be counted once the sandbag has been loaded over the crossbar and has hit the ground. If time expires and the sandbag is resting on the yoke, or if the bag has not yet hit the ground when time expires, the rep will not be counted.
  • The sandbag must be loaded back and forth. Competitor can go around the yoke or under the bar between reps.
  • The height of the crossbar of the yoke will be 48” for all women and 52” for all men, regardless of weight class or division.
  • Equipment allowed: Belt, knee and elbow sleeves, knee and wrist wraps, wrist straps, gloves, tape, chalk. Grip shirts may be worn UNDERNEATH the event shirt.
  • Equipment NOT allowed: Absolutely no tacky of any kind (not from a jar, no spray, no towels).

Frame Deadlift: 

  • Athletes will deadlift the frame for as many reps as possible in 60 seconds.
  • After every successful rep, the weight of the frame will increase.
  • Women increase 20 lbs per rep, men 50.
  • Must wait for up and down calls.
  • Straps allowed no suits or briefs.
  • Athlete will strap in on their time once judge says go.

Yoke Race:

  • Competitor will carry yoke as fast as possible for 50ft to finish line.
  • Drops are allowed.
  • Athlete must start with their hands off the yoke. Athlete will be 5 feet behind the yoke.
  • Front of the implement must cross the line for time to stop.
  • There is a 1 minute time cap.
  • Chalk and grip shirts allowed.
  • No tacky allowed.
  • Athlete can have unlimited drops.
  • No intentional sliding. This will be at the judge’s discretion.
