EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION:

Events, rules, and weights subject to change without  notice. The rules meeting on comp day will go over the rules for each event and answer any questions athletes may have.

KEG PYRAMID- Athletes will have 90 seconds to cross each implement over the line and stack the kegs into a Pyramid. The heaviest 3 will be the base. The lighter 2 will be in the middle and the lightest keg will be the top. Athlete will have to carry each keg 15ft. All kegs must be carried in order. All kegs will be labeled as to which order to carry them.  If the keg is dropped while carrying, the time is stopped and the event is over. This event is to bring a new way to have fun with kegs. The weights listed are the order.

EXAMPLE: masters men will have the keg order of 250, 250, 250, 200, 200, 150. So they are moving a total of 6 kegs.

Allowed: Belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, glove

Not allowed: Tacky of any kind

LOG PRESS AND AWAY- Athletes will have 60 seconds  to complete as many reps with the log as possible. All reps must be completed within the 60sec time cap. Athletes do not have to clean each rep. They are allowed to set the log down and reset. A full press rep will go from chest to lockout. Vipering is allowed. If the log is dropped from overhead the athlete will receive a zero for that event.

Allowed: Belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wrap, grip shirts

Not allowed: Tacky of any kind

Max wagon wheel dead- This event will follow Wessels Rules. The bar used will be a power bar.  Athlete can start in "ready position" which will be explained on day of contest. Each bar will start with 20lb jumps and may decrease to 10# as weight increases. Judge will announce weight on the bar and athletes may jump in when they want to attempt that weight. 30 second time limit per attempt. 3 attempts per athlete following. If you miss an attempt you are finished; if there's a tie the person who got the lift in an earlier attempt beats the other. Athlete's hands must be wrapped around the bar; no "fingertipping" thumbs must be around bar. Hips and knees must be locked out. Athlete must wait for judge's down command. No lift / zero will be given for soft lockouts, jumping the down command, dropping the bar from lockout. Athletes must wear socks that cover their shins. If an athlete pukes, pees or poops while lifting, they will be responsible for cleaning the mess up. Supplies for cleaning will be on hand and ready.

Allowed: straps, suits, hitching, wrist wraps, knee sleeves/wraps, belt

Not Allowed: gloves, hooks, tacky of any kind, no bare feet

Natural Stone Ladder: 60 second time limit. This will be a natural stone to shoulder ladder. Each athlete will start with their hands off of the stone. They can arrange the stone in any manner before the the judge says go. The stone must be on the athletes shoulder with the other arm fuller extended out before the judge will say down. Athlete must wait for the down command. If the athlete lets the stone down before the down command, the lift does not count. Time stops once both stones have been lifted to the shoulder. For classes that have the same weight twice, they will be lifting the same stone twice. Placing is determined by the fastest time of completed lifts. Split time will determine placing if only one stone can be lifted.

Allowed: Belt, sleeves, grip shirt, chalk

Not Allowed: Tacky of any kind, no bare feet

Weight over Bar- Each athlete will have 2 attempts at each height. Once a competitor is not able to get the weight over the bar they are done with the event. Only 1 hand is allowed on the weight during the event. Each athlete will be able to enter the competition at any height. All heights are measured from the ground to the height of the crossbar. The weight may touch the crossbar as it goes over. In case of a tie at the highest height, the least amount of misses at that height will determine the winner. If there is still a tie, you will continue to go down in height measuring the number of misses.

Allowed: wrist wraps, knee sleeves/wraps, belt, chalk

Not Allowed: gloves, hooks, tacky substance of any kind
