LOCATION: SURGE TO NEW LEVELS; 330 s Main place, Carol Stream, IL 60188

DIVISIONS:

WOMEN (LW Women, MW Women, HW Women) Novice Women

MEN (LW Men, MW Men, HW Men, SHW Men), Novice Men

classes will be divided if we have more than 5 competitors

EVENTS: Circus Dumbbell, Frame Carry, Frame DL, Sandbag over bar, SB Carry and Load

AWARDS: Trophies for class winners.

Qualification for Regionals/ Nationals: 

If there are 2-5 athletes in a class:

• 1st place - Qualifies for Nationals and Regionals 
• 2nd - Qualifies for Regionals 
• 3rd - Qualifies for Regionals 

If there are 6+ athletes in a class:

• 1st - qualifies for Nationals and Regionals 
• 2nd - qualifies for Nationals and Regionals
• 3rd - qualifies for Regionals
• 4th - qualifies for Regionals

ENTRY FEE: $100 up until day of contest. Includes cost of T-shirt

Spectators will pay a $10 entry fee

EVENT RULLES

Rules will be covered day of the event at rules meeting as well. 

EVENT 1: 1 of 2 Circus Dumbbell Press  

• Athlete will have 60s to press the 1 of the 2 implements.
• There will be a heavy and a light dumbbell, any number of reps on the heavy will beat any number of reps on the light. 
• Dumbbell will need to be cleaned and pressed every rep. 
• 12” globe for men, 10” globe for women. 
• Chalk, belt, wrist wraps, grip shirt, knee/ elbow sleeves allowed.

EVENT 2: Frame Carry for 60ft 

• Athlete will have 60s to carry the implement 60ft. 
• Front of the implement will be set at line and must cross before time stops, unlimited drops. 
• No straps allowed. 

EVENT 3: Frame DL for reps     

• Athlete will have 60s to DL the implement as many times as possible. 
• Down and up command will be given. 
• Belt, suits, straps allowed. 

EVENT 4: Sandbag Toss Over Bar 

• Athletes will have 60s to throw 3 sandbags over a cross bar 12 for women 14 for men.
• Bags will be in order from lightest to heaviest.
• Bags must be thrown in order, if athlete goes out of order he/ she will be asked to re-do the previous throw. 

EVENT 5: Sandbag Carry and load over bar 

• Athletes will have 60s to load 3 bags over a cross bar; 48”-W 54”-M. 
• All 3 bags will be set 15’ from the cross bar, once the 3rd bag is loaded time stops. 
• No Tacky or any other grip aid allowed other than chalk.
