This is a USS Strongman sanctioned event with Qualifying spots to USS Nationals.

Battle on the Beach 4... wow! We are so proud of what this event has become. We look forward to bringing you another top notch, well ran comp for year 4. 

The best venue of summer in strongman. Be ready for sun, fun, sand and water.

As in years past this will be held during the wonderful Maritime Festival in Harbor Beach, MI. It's a great competition to bring the whole family with lots for everyone to do with the festival and the beach.

Event 1 Rules and Details-

Viking Press

Cause Vikings were Norwegian pirates..

This will be a facing away Viking press for reps in 60 secs. 

• Athletes will start with the implement on the ground and when the announcer says "GO"
• Athletes must wait for a down command on each rep.
• You can strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk.
• Double dipping is allowed

-Allowed- chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, belts

-Not allowed tacky or other sticky substances can be used.

Event 2 Rules and Details-

The Treasure Chest Conan's Wheel

Argh...Maty

Pick it up and take it for a stroll

This is for distance.

• Athlete will start on "GO" pick it up and begin to walk.
• You will be allowed 1 drop and repick within the 1st 10 feet after that. you're done on the next drop, and your distance will be measured.

-Allowed- chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, belts, grip shirts

-NOT Allowed- any tacky like substance/rags, straps, gloves

Event 3 Rules and Details-

Frame Deadlift for Reps

Simple and sweet...

- :60 second time limit

• Down commands only- must wait for down command.
• All dead stop reps.
• Athlete will be strapped in and ready before the GO.

Equipment allowed- straps, belts, shoes optional 

Equipment not allowed- SUITS, tacky of any sort, any sort of hoist device aside from your body

Event 4 Rules and Details-

Whiskey Barrel(Keg) Toss for Height

Athletes will have -

- :30 seconds and two kegs to make each rounds height.

- Rising bar starting at 10'

• Athlete can jump in when they deem fit.

-Allowed- chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, belts, 

-NOT Allowed- any tacky like substance/rags, straps

Event 5 Rules and Details

Arm over Arm Boat drag-

WSM vibes...

- :60 second time limit

- 50' Distance

• Athlete starts standing, on "GO'' athlete will take their position and begin the pull. Time stops when front of boat crosses the line.
• Rope will be 1.5-2'' diameter. The excess rope will be managed for competitors.

-Allowed- chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, belts, gloves

-NOT Allowed- any tacky like substance/rags, straps
