Heavy push. Format, vehicle, distance TBD.

If it's not heavy it will be uphill. Maybe heavy AND uphill....Either way - this will be challenging.

Max Raw Deadlift

Rising Bar, with set weight increases. 3 attempts for a one rep max. NO DEADLIFT SUITS. Straps allowed. Athletes will have 30 seconds to successfully complete their attempt. If the bar is off the floor by the time 30 seconds is up, athlete can complete the lift.

Strongman DL rules - hitching allowed. Full standard lockout required - hips extended, knees extended, chest up, shoulders back.

If using straps, all fingers and thumbs must remain in contact with the bar for a successful lift.

No baby oil, or tacky/sticky grip substances allowed of any kind.

Type of barbell TBD.

Mercy / Trump Log

This event is scored by max reps in 60 seconds. Athletes will have the choice of TWO weights to lift, the heavy "TRUMP" weight, and the light "MERCY" weight. "TRUMP" weights will be scored as 10 points per repetition. "MERCY" weights will be scored as 1 point per repetition. 

If you start on the MERCY weight, you CANNOT advance to the TRUMP weight. If you start on the TRUMP weight, you CAN drop to the MERCY weight.

If you complete one repetition on the TRUMP weight, then one repetition on the MERCY weight, your score will be marked as 11.

Double Score Event

Events 4 and 5 will be consecutive - From 0-60 seconds, athletes will perform max reps sandbag to shoulder. There will be a 20 second "reset" for athlete to position his or herself at the farmers handles. Then, from 80s - 140s, athletes will perform a max distance farmers carry.

Sandbag will be placed immediately behind the farmers handles. Athlete can start immediately over the handles but cannot touch them with hands until "GO" command is given

Sandbag to Shoulder

Max reps, in 60 seconds. Standard lockout rules apply - bag must be on shoulder with opposite arm reached out to demonstrate control to receive the down command. 

Max Distance Farmers Carry

Immediately After Sandbag to Shoulder, athletes will perform a max distance farmers carry, with 60' lengths and turns. No Straps, One Drop allowed. On second drop, distance will be taken for score.
