GENERAL INFO.

This event is hosted at Living Hope Evangelical Free Church and is put on by the men's ministry and all are invited! Everyone is welcome, but please note that this is considered a family and faith-based environment, so no foul language or behavior will be tolerated, and may result in disqualification from the event. Competitors must be 18 years of age or older.

$35, registration due October 12. You can sign up late, $40, but no guarantee for a t-shirt.

A NOTE ON THE DIVISIONS - this contest has no weigh ins and is not based on weight restrictions. We encourage everyone to sign up for the category you think you’d be the most competitive in, and to challenge yourself rather than sign up for a lighter one to ensure a win. However, everyone is free to sign up for any of the categories. Please consider not signing up for a novice category if you have placed in the top three in a novice division before. 

All weights and event details may be subject to changes.

Chalk, Grip Shirts, Stone Sleeves, gloves, Belt, Elbow Sleeves, Knee Sleeves and Wrist Wraps are fine for any event. Tacky allowed only on Atlas Stone Event. NO deadlift suit. Bring your own tacky and chalk. Tacky cleanup station will be available.

This contest is broken up into 4 divisions: 2 novice classes and 2 open classes. It is essentially light weight and heavy weight for both novice and open. 

The competition will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The contest will take place at Living Hope Evangelical Free Church as an event hosted by the men's ministry.

Bring your own tacky, chalk, water, food, etc. Bring a lawn chair and encourage spectators to bring food, water, and a chair as well. No cost for spectators. This contest is outside and will continue in mildly bad weather - rain or shine. We will have a backup plan if the weather turns dangerous or terribly bad the day of.

EVENTS

Max Log Press

Log will start at 115lb for loggers and 165 for lumberjacks. Novice categories will use an 8" log, open will use a 10" log. Weight will jump in 20lb increments. Each competitor gets 3 attempts. Competitors may jump in for an attempt at any weight increment desired. Though, if you fail a weight, you are out, and eliminated. Competitors will stand close by when a weight comes that they desire to do, and will indicate that they desire to attempt this weight. Max 3 attempts. NO resting the log on top of your head.

Barbell Deadlift for Reps.

Athlete will deadlift a barbell for as many reps as possible in 60 seconds.  Down commands only.  Straps allowed, figure 8's are allowed. NO deadlift suits. NO sumo.

Carry Medley (Farmers, Yoke, Sandbag).

Farmers Carry 40', run back, Carry Yoke 40', run back, Sandbag Carry 40' and load over yoke bar for time. 1 minute, 30 seconds cap. Fastest time wins.

Vehicle Pull

Athletes will be seated on the ground and using a rope will pull a vehicle towards them.  60 second time limit, chalk only.  Gloves are allowed. Weight will be added to a tire to drag behind the vehicle.

Atlas Stone for Reps

Competitors will lap and load an atlas stone over a bar. Bar will be at 52" height. Competitors will lift the stone over the bar for reps within a 60 second time limit. Competitors will choose between a lighter or heavier stone. One rep at the heavier stone beats any amount of reps at the lighter stone.  Tacky and sleeves allowed.  

Any ties will result in a tiebreaker event that will remain secret until the end of the competition.
