Axle Clean & Press for Reps
Allowed: 2 belts, one hard and one soft, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, wraps, mouthguard, chalk, grip shirts
Disallowed: No tacky, no OSG or SC grip shirts, no straps
Time: 60 seconds
Rules:
Competitors will have 60s to complete as many reps after being given the lift command from the judge.
Competitors can begin with hands on the implement.
Competitors will only be required to clean the axle once and then press away for reps.
A successful lift will have the implement pressed fully overhead with hips through, elbows and knees locked, and head through.
The axle should not rest on the top of the competitor's head at any point during the lift.
The competitor must wait for the judge's down command for the lift to count.
Return the axle down with reasonable control, no letting go or ‘tree topping' of the implement or you will not get points for that press (an excessive amount can be cause for DQ)
The competitor will receive a zero for the event if they:
‘Tree top’ the implement after warnings (Drop from overhead, the down must be controlled)
Use profanity in an aggressive manner toward a judge or volunteer
Deadlift Medley
Allowed: 2 belts (one hard and one soft), elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, mouthguard, chalk, straps, suits, hitching, and wrist wraps.
Disallowed: No sumo stance, baby oil, or tacky allowed.
Time: 60 seconds
Rules:
Bar types will be a mystery, weights will all be AROUND supplied numbers.
Competitor has 60s to complete as many reps at their prescribed weight.
The competitor starts on the line.
A good rep will have the competitor's hips through, knees locked, and shoulders back.
The competitor must wait for the judge's down command.
The competitor will receive a no rep if they drop the bar at the top of the lift. Must control the down.
The competitor will receive a zero for the event if they:
Use profanity in an aggressive manner toward a judge or volunteer
Sword Hold
Allowed: Belt, chalk, sleeves, and wrist wraps.
Disallowed: Tacky or gloves.
Rules:
Max time.
Competitors stand with arms extended downward, gripping the handle of the sword with one hand.
Competitors may not rest the implement or their arms against their body or anything else in a supporting fashion. This is decided by the Judge, and ONE warning will be issued.
Timing will stop when the competitor is no longer able to hold the weight off the mat or they exceed the ONE warning for resting against something.
The competitor will receive a zero for the event if they:
Use profanity in an aggressive manner toward a judge or volunteer
Farmers Carry (50')
Allowed: Belts, wraps, sleeves,grip shirts.
Disallowed: No OSG/SC grip shirts, tacky.
Time: 60 seconds
Rules:
Weight is PER HAND.
Competitors will have 60 seconds to pick and carry farmers' handles 25 feet and turn around and carry 25' back.
No drops.
Front-facing at all times.
No sliding, the judge will determine where the original drop was, no arguing.
The front or leading edge of the farmers' handles must cross the finish line.
The competitor will receive a zero for the event if they:
Use profanity in an aggressive manner toward a judge or volunteer.
Odd Object Load
Allowed: Belt, chalk, sleeves, wraps, grip shirts.
Disallowed: Straps, built-up belts, OSG/SC grip shirts, anything sticky: tacky, tacky sleeves, tacky wraps.
Time: 60 seconds
Rules:
3 objects to varied heights.
Competitors must start with the back of their hands on the platform.
The judge will give the "Go" command, and time will start.
Each object must be completed before moving on to the next.
Time stops when the final object stops moving.
The competitor will receive a zero for the event if they:
Use profanity in an aggressive manner toward a judge or volunteer.
