we are celebrating the coming of fall, Samhain, The harvest moon, as well as Halloween all in one night

Doors will be open at The Warehouse Gym in League City, Texas October 19th 5pm. weigh ins will begin at such time, the rules at 530pm and then lifting at 6pm and will continue until roughly 8pm. 

there will be a $8 fee for spectators. we will have drinks for sale inside the venue. 

we will have bathrooms available outside the venue. 

LOG PRESS

each lifter will be given 60 seconds to clean the log to the chest and press overhead. the lifter will need to wait for the down command in order to be given credit for the lift. the feet must be parallel, the elbows locked out overhead, and make eye contact with the judge. competition weight for the women starts at 70lb and 110lb for the men

DEADLIFT

on the deadlift lifter can use straps, no sumo, no suits, chalk is allowed, double hitching is allowed, this is strongman; just stand up with the bar in hands with hips forward and knees locked out. just do not allow the weight to go back down. each lifter will be given 60 seconds to get a good rep. again the hips must be forward with the knees locked out, must make eye contact with judge and wait for the down command. if the weight is dropped the rep will not count, please control the bar back down to the ground.  competiton weight for the women starts at 185lb and 315lb for the men. 

this is a last man standing event. weights will increase in increments of 10lbs for women on the log press, and 20lbs for the men on the log press. if there is a tie in weight the winner of the event will go to the lightest bodyweight.  weights will increase by 20lbs on the deadlift for women and for the men we will only be using the 25s and 45s to increase the weight. 

also we will be having guests: axe masters in league city is setting up a couple of bays for spectators and competitors to get some axe throwing in while at the event. we will also have knights in full armor. the knights will be performing duels and there will be team fighting as well as a last man standing fight. this is basically MMA with swords and axes. should be much fun
