If you want to watch, there will be a small corral of the current division just inside the gym doors. All other athletes are asked to take a seat in the stands to watch.

Axle Press from Blocks for reps

  • Athletes will select the weight and height of blocks they want to take by 8:30am on Saturday. The height and weight will be taken at athlete check ins.
  • Athletes will pick between 2-3 different heights to take the bar from on the jerk blocks (heights at discretion of promoter).
  • Athlete’s will go for as many reps as possible in 60 seconds.
  • Athlete must press the axle in front of them at all times.
  • Athlete may reset the axle on the blocks each rep or rerack lower than chin before starting next rep. (We prefer the athletes do not thruster off the jerk blocks each rep for sake of safety and equipment).
  • One rep on the heavier weight beats any amount of reps on the lighter weight
  • Athletes can take the axle from the blocks and press away or return the axle to the jerk blocks after every rep (we advise the least number of drops possible for safety).
  • A down call will be given when feet are together and elbows locked with head through looking toward the judge.
  • Athlete’s are responsible for controlling the axle and weights to the jerk blocks if needed so that the axle remains on the jerk blocks for the entirety of time.
  • All forms of pressing are allowed (strict press, push press, split jerk) but at no time can the axle rest on the athlete’s head.
  • The athlete will be disqualified for intentional throwing down of the axle that results in hitting the floor and not the jerk blocks.
  • If the axle falls off the blocks the athlete can clean the axle up or they can wait for the spotters to return the axle but this will be on the athlete's time.
  • EQUIPMENT NOT ALLOWED: Multiple sleeves on same joint. More than one cuff on a joint. More than two belts of any type. Any suit or powerlifting compression wear recognized by equipped powerlifting. Straps. Tacky or any spray grip substance.
  • Athlete’s must wear shoes for this event.

Sandbag Toss Medley

  • Athlete’s will start with a hand on the yoke.
  • On the whistle, the athlete will run to the lightest bag ~10ft away on a line and throw over the crossbar then repeat each bag as they increase in weight. 5 bags total.
  • Time will be taken when the last bag clears the crossbar (not hits the ground).
  • If an athlete can not hit all the bags they will be given credit for the number of successful bags. (Ties are possible).
  • Athlete’s are responsible for retrieving missed bags and returning to the side they started on to throw.
  • If an athlete misses a bag but throws the next bag successfully they must still go get the missed bag before going up to the next bag in the medley. The one they made will still count.
  • Athletes can pick up multiple bags to bring closer to the crossbar but may only throw one at a time.
  • If the bag gets stuck on the crossbar it will count.
  • Athletes may only attempt up to three throws for any given bag. Miss three times with same bag and you are done.

Ukrainian Deadlift for reps

  • Athlete’s will stand on jerk blocks for this lift.
  • The bar/handle height will be ~9in
  • Athlete’s will have 60 seconds for max reps. (Ties are possible). **We will let you strap in before time BUT be speedy!
  • Athlete’s must show control of the implement down so it does not bounce out from between the jerk blocks or intentionally hit the jerk blocks.
  • Athlete’s will receive both an up and down call each rep.
  • The up call will be given when the athlete has lowered the implement to the floor and it has stopped (no touch and go! One warning)
  • The down call will be given when hips and knees are locked out with torso vertical.
  • Some leniency will be given for athlete’s that the handle rubbing thighs or arm length limits lockout. Control must be shown.
  • EQUIPMENT NOT ALLOWED: Multiple sleeves on same joint. More than one cuff on a joint. More than two belts of any type. Any suit or powerlifting compression wear recognized by equipped powerlifting. Tacky or any spray grip substance.
  • Straps are allowed. Any kind.
  • Athlete’s are not required to wear shoes but must have covering of feet. Socks, deadlift slippers or shoes if desired.
  • In the event of bodily fluid getting on implements or platform we ask for help from the athlete to clean up. Cleaning supplies will be provided.

Farmer’s Walk

  • Athlete’s will start with the whole farmer’s walk implements behind the start line.
  • Handle pick height will be ~17-18".
  • Athlete’s will carry the implements (one per hand) down 50ft using a 1.25" grip until the front of the farmer's walk handles cross the line (both must cross without sliding). At the line you will turn around and then rotate the handles to the 2" grip. You will then pick the farmer's walk implements up and complete the last 50ft of the course.
  • Time will stop when the entirety of both implements cross the start line for a full 100ft.
  • Athlete’s who do not complete the course in 60 seconds will be given a distance measurement.
  • Athlete’s will be allowed two drops (including the turn around drop). In other words, distance is taken on third total drop.
  • Athlete’s can not slide the implements or turn around backwards to pick the implements.
  • Athlete’s must drop and turn around to return. Not turns without dropping.
  • Athlete’s who aggressively drop the farmer’s on purpose where the farmer’s fall over to the side will be penalized in time or disqualified at the discretion of the promoter (respect the floor and the equipment).
  • Athlete’s who slide the implements will be penalized with a 2 second slide penalty.

Sandbag to Shoulder (for max points)

  • Athlete’s will have the option to lift one of two bags on the 8x8’ platform for total points in 2 minutes.
  • The heavier bag will be worth 5 points while the lighter bag will be worth 1 point.
  • Athlete’s are responsible for keeping the bag on the platform.
  • Once an athlete goes to the lighter bag they will not be allowed to return to the heavier bag (we encourage everyone to try the heavier bag first).
  • Athlete’s will get a down call when the bag is on the shoulder with the opposite side arm/hand  off showing control with feet roughly square.
  • The bag must be as close to 50% in front and 50?hind shoulder.
  • Athlete’s will not be given credit if both hands are on the bag or the majority of the bag is on the chest and not the shoulders (judges will communicate correction to get a call as fast as possible).
  • Ties are possible here as no split times will be given for this event.
