2024 Hope for the Holidays 18 - Florida USS Record Breakers! This Event will be for Charity. 

100% of Proceeds will go to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

THIS EVENT IS A NATIONAL QUALIFIER. Complete the 3 events to secure an invite to United States Strongman Nationals 2025 in Concord, North Carolina.

ALL Events are eligible for State and National Records

ALL EVENTS will be conducted via WESSELS RULES

the bar will rise in 5lb increments - you can choose what weights you will jump in at. The host will announce ascending weights and it is UP TO YOU to be ready and claim the weight you want when it is time to lift. This WILL NOT be conducted like powerlifting where attempts 1 will be done light to heavy, then rest for attempts 2, etc. This is a RISING BAR ONLY. In the event that you are completing CONSECUTIVE attempts, you will be granted 3 minutes inbetween attempts for recovery.

There will be additional optional Bonus events for athletes + spectators to participate in outside of the 3 contested events. Full details coming soon. Trust me, this will be really fun.

All athletes are encouraged to dress their best (christmas sweater, holiday outfit, etc)

EVENTS:

1) Choose one pressing event: Max Log or Max Axle. 

•Max Log C & P - 12" for men, 10" for women. 60 second time limit per attempt. 

•Max Axle C & P - 60 second time limit per attempt. 

Chalk, Grip Shirts, Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps allowed. No Elbow Wraps. Nothing sticky. 

2) Choose one deadlift event: Max 18" Deadlift or Max Standard Deadlift. 

•Max Standard Deadlift - 60 second time limit per attempt. 3 attempts. (Texas DL Bar)

•Max 18 Inch Deadlift - 60 second time limit per attempt. 3 attempts. (Blocks) (Texas Power Bar) 

Chalk, Suits, Briefs, Lifting straps, Figure 8 straps allowed. Hitching allowed. No Sumo. Nothing sticky. 

3) All Athletes: Farmer Hold for Time - Max time. Time starts on lockout, ends when either implement hits the floor. Weight is determined by Weight Class. Chalk. No straps of any kind. NOTHING STICKY ALLOWED. 

This is a record breaker / max effort event. 

• Wessels Rules
• Three attempts for press and three attempts for pull events. Miss an attempt and you are out.
• For presses & deadlifts, athlete must wait for judge's down command; feet must be parallel (no split) at top of lockout (on press) for down command to be given.
