Welcome to the 1st annual Las Vegas Strength Olympics Strongman Corporation, hosted by Smash Iron Fitness. We are honored and pleased to be holding this Strongman Corp sanctioned contest with a possible chance to qualify for Nationals and Regionals, We want to make this an amazing contest for our athletes, spectators and the sport of Strongman that will grow every year into something bigger and better.

If there are 2-5 athletes a class:

Log Press for reps
? Athletes will have 60 seconds to clean and press the log as many times as possible.
? Athletes will begin with the “Go” command where they will clean the log from the floor
and press to full lockout with arms straight and head through where you will receive a down command and return to the floor where you may begin your next rep when ready.
? No intentional slamming or dropping of equipment during this event, hands must remain near or on the log while lowering the log in a somewhat controlled manner.
? Anything deemed excessive by the head judge may be called and reps will be deducted from total.

Men: 12-inch Rogue Log (135 lbs. empty)
Women: 10-inch Rogue Log (72 lbs. empty)
ALLOWED EQUIPMENT: 1 pair of Wrist wraps, 1 pair of Elbow sleeves, 1 pair of Knee sleeves,
Soft belt, Hard belt, Grip shirt, powder chalk or liquid chalk*, lifting shoes.
NOT ALLOWED EQUIPMENT: Elbow Wraps, Knee wraps, suits, briefs, supportive shirts, Wrist
straps, Tacky of any kind.
*Please ensure liquid chalk is dry prior to the lift
Deadlift for reps
? Athletes will have 60 seconds to deadlift as many reps as possible
? Athletes may begin strapped to the bar, athletes will be asked if ready and once ready
will be given the “Go” command. Athletes will lift the bar until they are in a fully locked out position with knees straight, shoulders back and hips through. Once fully locked out
athletes will be given a down command at which they can lower the weight down and must wait for the next “up” command to begin the next rep.
? Athletes must wait for up and down commands, no touch and go, to begin and end reps,
any failure to adhere to these rules will result in 1 warning first followed by deduction of reps if continuation of rule breaking follows.
? Standard conventional deadlift stance with hands placed outside of legs and barbell

positioned in front of the shins. No sumo, no specialty deadlift styles.
? Please ensure to bring socks that cover your shins, bloody shins aren’t as cool as you think and it’s not fun to clean up.

Men: Texas deadlift Barbell (45 lbs.)
Women: Texas deadlift Barbell (45 lbs.)
ALLOWED EQUIPMENT: Deadlift straps (figure 8 or figure 6), soft belt, hard belt, 1 pair of knee
sleeves, shin sleeves, powder chalk or liquid chalk*, lifting shoes, Baby powder**
NOT ALLOWED EQUIPMENT: Suits of any kind, erector shirts of any kind, briefs, tacky of any kind
*Please ensure liquid chalk is dry prior to the lift
** If you wish to use baby powder, please apply in the back parking lot away from the building
Yoke Squat
? Athletes will have 60 seconds to squat as many reps as possible
? Athletes will fix themselves under the implement prior to the timer starting and will be asked if the athlete is ready. Once the athlete is ready, they may lift the implement to a full standing position and wait for a down command from the head referee.
? Athletes must wait for a down command after each successful rep and will NOT require an up command.
? For a successful rep athletes must have all 4 corners of the implement touch the ground
simultaneously and squat back up to a fully locked out position with hips through and knees straight.
? Yoke heights will be adjusted between athletes to ensure athletes are squatting to proper
depth. *

ALLOWED EQUIPMENT: Wrist wraps, 1 pair elbow sleeves, grip shirts, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt,
EITHER 1 pair of knee sleeves or 1 pair of knee wraps**, squat shoes, powder or liquid chalk.

*Yoke heights will be measured the day before at weigh-ins. If measurements are needed the day of please email ahead of time and arrive earlier so we can get you measured before the competition starts.
** No knee wraps under knee sleeves or knee sleeves under knee wraps, athletes will be checked if suspicion arises. Let's keep it fair.
Farmers Carry
? Athletes will be given 60 seconds to pick up and carry farmers' handles 50 feet as fast as possible.
? Athletes may begin with hands on the implement and will be asked “athletes ready” once athletes are ready the head referee will give the “Go” command at which point the athlete can begin the lift and move down the course.
? Athletes have unlimited drops to finish the course, any efforts of intentional sliding will result in time penalties being added on at the end of the event.
? Athletes will be finished with their attempt once the front of both farmers implements have crossed the finish line at which point the time will stop and be recorded.
? Event will be held on an indoor turf, please no intentional dropping of the implements while moving that could damage the turf.

Last Man Standing Stone Over Bar
Men- 48 inches
Women- 42 inches
? Athletes will have 15 seconds to load a stone over a cross bar as many times as possible.

? Athletes will begin lined up in ascending order according to the iron podium standing up to the final event starting with last place.
? Athletes will be face to face loading chosen stones back and forth until one athlete fails to lift the stone in the allotted time given at which time the next athlete will take their place and the timer will resume going back and forth until all athletes have gone through
as many reps as possible.
? Once a new athlete has replaced a previous athlete, they will be given a start command to perform their lift and resume the back and forth.
? Placings will be determined by the number of reps done so the more reps you do the better placing you will receive.
? SHIRTS MUST BE WORN PLEASE, don’t be the person to leave the stone nasty and hairy.
