Update!! - Weigh-ins will be held on May 26th in the afternoon/evening, beginning at 4:00pm -   will also be at the Expo center the morning of the 27th at 7am and can do any missed weigh-ins between 7am and 8:30am.  

We will be sharing a venue with the Cascadian Classic bodybuilding competition, held in buildings conjoined by a large hallway.  Athletes and VIP spectators will be the only attendees allowed to cross over to the Cascadian.  Spectator entry fee to the Memorial Brawl is set at $10 per person, and minors under 6 years of age are free.

Event 1:  Truck Pull!  

This event will be performed outside the building.  It will utilize a harness as well as a lead rope.  some divisions will have a 75-foot distance, and some divisions will have a 100-foot distance requirement to be completed for fastest time.  Will add weights to the vehicle for additional weight challenge for weight classes as appropriate.  Belts and Knee wraps okay.

Event 2:  Viking Press!

Viking Press implement handles are several feet from where weights are loaded, therefore listed weights will show "implement" weight plus total weight of added weight plates (not necessarily actual pressed weight).  Each repetition can be performed as a push press.  No "double-hitching" to catch weight (knees can bend for explosion on the press, but knees must remain rigid following initial explosion).  Belts and Knee/wrist wraps okay.

Event 3:  Military Vehicle Deadlift!

Our vehicle deadlift implement has multiple leverage settings that will be adjusted as necessary for each class.  Vehicle will be loaded with additional weight to reach desired weight per class.  As many repetitions as possible in the 60 second time allotment.  Wraps, Belts, sleeves, suits allowed. 

Event 4:  Farmer Carry / Log Lift Medley!

This is a timed event with a required 50-foot Farmer Carry and 3 full-repetition Log Press (from the ground to locked overhead is one rep, touch-and-go after first repetition) for the fastest complete time.  No wraps for Farmer carry.  Belt, sleeves, and wrist wraps allowed.

Event 5:  Atlas Stone Ladder!

Total of 5 stones, increasing in weight, for the fastest time.  Listed weights will show the lightest and heaviest stone for competitor's class.  Women's classes will be performed on a 48-inch platform, and Men's classes will be performed on a 54-inch platform.  Belts, sleeves, tacky, and grip shirts allowed.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Veterans Back 40 Adventure.

Veterans Back 40 Adventure (VB40) exists to provide a supportive and healthy outlet for Veterans seeking to reconnect with the camaraderie found in military service. This is done through outdoor fishing and hunting trips, campouts, and motorcycle adventures. Led by an all volunteer, veteran board, our organization believes in the power of the campfire. Once you attend one of our events, you’ll quickly realize the importance of reconnecting with fellow veterans who’ve had similar life experiences.
