Buford has gone a perfect 3-0 against Mountain View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolves will look to defend their home field against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Buford's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups.

Buford's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Central Gwinnett 75-0. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Black Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Dylan McCoy had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 91 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Another player making a difference was DJ Hunter, who threw for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Buford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Buford, adding 21 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jameer Cantrell, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Mountain View had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of Dacula. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Falcons are ranked 124th).

Buford's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Mountain View, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Buford has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 210 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Mountain View, though, as they've been averaging only 53.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Buford against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-7 victory. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
