The sun on your face, the wind in your armpits… Summer Strongman Season is here! Join us for our 5th year at the Heroes, Hogs, & Hot Rods festival. We’re bringing you big events to stun the crowd, and you’ll have the chance to earn a spot at 2025 USS Nationals in Charlotte, NC.

The Events:

Event 1: Double Jeep Pull

Beep-Beep, Jeep-Jeep! Harness up and pull a Jeep or two down Main Street. Women will pull one tricked out JFB Off Road Jeep, men will pull two! We tested this pull in early May, check out the videos on One Way Strength Instagram or Facebook if you want to see it in action.

Event 2: Axle with Tires Press

Push some big tires overhead! All athletes will use a 2” axle bar, weights 220 pounds and over will be on an axle bar with tires on it. Clean it once from the ground and press away. Belts, grip shirts, chalk, and elbow sleeves are allowed.

Event 3: Frame Carry

We’ve been hard at work building you a big wooden frame to carry, and it’s beefy! The frame is 3’x6’ with an 18 inch pick up from the ground. You’ll have 60 seconds to carry it 50 feet. Dropping and re-picking up is allowed as many times as needed. Chalk is fine, but no straps or tacky allowed on this event.

Event 4:  Max Height Sack Toss

Think of it as a Keg Toss, but softer. We don’t want to dent any streets, sidewalks, or skulls. We filled seabags to weight and you have to toss them over the bar for max height. (Hint: they look suspiciously like the marshmallows that we used at last year’s Christmas competition). They are bigger than a typical throwing bag, and while they do not have handles, you are allowed to grab up any extra material to help hold on.  You will have three attempts on a literal rising bar to get your maximum sack toss height. Bar will start at 8 feet and will be raised 1 foot each round. No catapults or trebuchets.

Weigh-Ins:

Early weigh-ins will be available at the One Way Strength clubhouse in St. Anne Friday evening, or you can weigh in Saturday morning before the competition starts.
