NY Strong-est Man & Woman 8
$90
Mamaroneck, NY
When you enter Harbor Island it is $12 to park. At the 2nd Stop Sign make a right and take it all the way down. The baseball fields will be on your right. The event is in the parking lot between the tennis courts and the water. There will be some parking there but you can park anywhere.
If you are not registered by July 9th you WILL NOT receive a shirt. I place the order that day. Shirts need to be worn for EVERY EVENT.
***Open Women: We are running too divisions...Under 165 (MW/LW) and Over 165 )SHW/HW). There isn't an option to select the latter so if you compete as a HW 181, 198 or SHW please register in the SHW option. You will not need to weigh in. Under 165 will have to. IF you qualify you can register for Nationals in any of the respective classes.
Event is rain or shine so be prepared. Competition area will be in a back parking lot that is flat for the truck pull. There will be space for athletes to set up chairs and bags. Parking is $12 at the entrance.

The tentative event order is this:
- Circus DB (Two Lanes)
- Car Deadlift (Two Lanes)
- Fingal Finger (Three Lanes Classes Split)
- Keg Carry & Load (Three Lanes Classes Split)
- Truck Pull (Three Lanes Classes Split)
I will not know until a week before the competition who's in what lane until I have a final headcount or the rotation order of Fingal Fingers, Kegs and Truck Pull. So above list is TENTATIVE.
We tested the truck pull with various classes and all will pull the same truck, new distance is listed.
Event Rules:
- Circus DB: reps in 60sec. Athlete can clean the DB with two hands to either shoulder and press with any arm they choose. Athlete can strict press, push press, push or split jerk the implement. Before doing so only one hand can be on the DB and at no time can the other hand come in contact until the judge gives a down command. Down command only. Athlete must return the DB to the ground and can tap but must make contact. To receive a down call the athlete needs to be in control and feet parallel, arm locked out and hips and knees stable as well. Chalk, belts, wrist wraps, elbow & knee sleeves allowed. Women will use 10" CDB. Men: LW/HW Novice, LW Masters, LW Open will use 10" Big Dogg. Men: MW Open, HW Open, SHW Open & HW Masters will use 13" Big Dogg
- Car Deadlift: reps in 60 sec. Side handle. down command only. Hitching allowed. Athlete must be locked out, shoulders back, hips and knees through. WAIT for a down command!! Any kind of straps allowed but no hooks. Chalk, belts, wrist wraps, elbow & knee sleeves allowed. (3) represents the handle position FURTHEST from the car and (1) represents handle position CLOSEST to car.
- Harnessed Truck Pull: Course distance listed above and 60 sec allowed. Athlete will wear a harness and start in front of the truck and will have a 2" rope to pull that will be positioned past the finish line. Chalk, belts, wrist wraps, elbow & knee sleeves allowed. Fastest time wins but distance will be recorded if DNF.
- Fingal Fingers: 6 reps for fastest time. Athlete can start with hands on implement which is a 10" diameter pipe, and must lift and walk through hand over hand until it tips over. Athlete runs around to other side and repeats. Time stops when Fingal finger hits the tire. Staff will be pulling tires away once athlete cleans the implement to the chest.
- Keg Carry & Load: Kegs from 75lbs up to 300 will be positioned 20ft. from loading platform. In any order athlete will pick and carry and load a keg and continue until 60 sec is up. TOTAL weight of kegs wins so this is for MAX loaded KEG WEIGHT. Loading onto a Flatbed of 48". The keg DOES NOT need to be stood up but it is your responsibility to make sure it stays. Any kegs that roll off at any point during athletes 60 sec will not count and need to be reloaded in time limit.
