Welcome Back Ode to Strength! As promised our first show was a culmination of different athletic backgrounds, various Strongman athletes coming together to continue to build the sport we love. Each year we plan to get bigger, better, with more unique events and give more back to the Strongman Community and our local community as well and this year, well this year we are keeping to that plan plus some!
This is a Strongman Corporation sanctioned event.

Your registration will also pay for your food (yes vegan options available), as well as your parking for you and your spectators at the venue!!
All athletes must prove valid Strongman Corporation membership status before being able to compete. No membership/No compete.

At a Local competition, the number of qualifying athletes depends on the number of athletes competing ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION and follows these standards:
- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone they will earn an invite by completing (i.e. not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter. Promoters should not lower weights or modify events specifically to allow the solo athlete to qualify for Nationals.
- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals
- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals
- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals
Weigh Ins/Athlete Check In:
- EVERYONE MUST check-in on the 8th or 9th(weigh-ins day of will happen early in the morning to give time for re-feeds and to hydrate)
- Location: 963 E 11th St Loveland, CO, 80537 (May 8th - Morning) and Pedersen Toyota Center on May 8th evening & May 9th
- Time: May 8th- 0700-1000MST and 1600-1800MST; May 9th -0700-0800MST
- All competitors must have a valid Strongman Corporation Card and Waiver completed to be able to compete the day of the event.

- April 8th 2024 at 11:59pm. Online entry must be submitted by this date.

Events and Rules:

*For all events:
- No deadlift suits or Multi-ply of any kind
- No Bare feet (shoes must be worn at all times)
- Contest shirt must be worn at all times unless utilizing a Grip shirt. All grip shirts allowed
- No build up belts (Only 1 hard and 1 soft allowed)
The Apollon - Max
Athletes will have 60 seconds to clean and press the Apollon Axle off the mats and press it overhead. This is a max event with three attempts. If you do not hit your weight you can use your attempt before the weight goes up and then your run is done and your points will reflect the weight hit. All kinds of pressing are allowed, split jerk, power jerk, push press, and/or strict press. ZERO DROPPING FROM OVERHEAD, you will need to bring it to your chest then drop to the mats. This protects the equipment.
ITEMS ALLOWED: wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather or a hard Velcro belt (one or the other, not both)
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: Tacky, spray tack, elbow wraps, Belts cannot be built up with towels, etc.
Steel to Stone
Athletes will have 60 seconds to finish, if you do not finish you will get distance and time.
Athletes will run the farmer handles 50 feet cross the line then into the Nicol Stones for 50 feet to finish.
Front of the farmer handles need to cross then the entire Nicol Stones need to cross to finish.
- No throwing the farmers or stones ahead, they must cross in hand. No slamming of the Nicol Stones when completed on the ground, such as a victory of completion slam
ITEMS ALLOWED: 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather or a hard Velcro belt (one or the other, not both), knee sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk (block or liquid) WRIST STRAPS ONLY ALLOWED FOR WOMENS CLASSES ON NICOL STONES ONLY
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: no tacky, no tacky towels, no suits, no briefs (compression shorts are fine), no spray adhesive or stickyness of any kind, no built-up belts.
Carry & Press
Athlete will carry their Husafell sandbag to the first CDB and Press Three. Then carry their bag to the next CDB and Press Twice and then carry to the last CDB and Press One time. 15 feet distance between each pressing station. Points will be given per accomplishment, such as carrying the bag to the first station is 1 press 1, so on and so forth, you will get a total point and time for completion.
**ALL WOMEN will finish the 3 reps on a 10" Rogue Monster Bell, 2.5" handle
**ALL MEN will finish the 3 reps on a 12" Rogue Monster Bell, 3" handle
Must wait for the down command to receive a completion of the CDB before moving on.
Clean once and Press Away, time stops after the last down command on the 3rd and final rep. 90 second time limit. You’ll be scored in the completion points above plus time

Atlas’s Gaunlet
That’s right…a gaunlet. All stone weights are subject to change but not by much!
6 total stones for time and completion.
Athlete will stand in front of their first stone and for time complete up to 6 stones over bar all lined up.
Mens height: 52”
Womens height: 48”
Tacky, Tacky Towels, and athletic tape/duct tape is allowed. "Built-up" belts are not allowed
POSSIBLE 5th EVENT
TIE BREAKER: Atlas Stone Hold
Athletes will hold an Atlas stone against their chest such as a front hold, longest times wins!
