Welcome to the first annual OKI Strength Expo USS Strongman Competition Presented By Bells of Steel! Join us on Saturday, July 27th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, IN to experience some of the fun the strength sports community has to offer as we compete aside IPA Powerlifting and Arm Wrestling athletes from the tri-state and surrounding areas.

Events Are As Follows:

Keg/Barbell/CDB For Reps: Athlete with have 75 seconds to press all 3 implements and press the circus DB for as many reps as possible with the remaining time. Athlete starts with hands off of implement. Athlete must clean and press each implement in order. You may not drop the bar behind you. Slamming the weight or dropping the implement from overhead without control of the implement will result in a zero. Athlete must wait for a down call and signal. Continental cleans and belt cleans are permitted for the barbell. Belts, straps, wraps, sleeves and USS approved grip shirts are acceptable. No sticky substances (tacky, tacky towels, etc.). 

Head-to-Head Mystery Event Presented by Bells of Steel: Athlete will need to be ready to meet the challenge for as long as possible...

Semi Tire (18") Max Deadlift: Athletes will have 3 attempts (Wessels Rule) and will be given a weight matrix for the bar weight that will be loaded with each jump. Athlete will have 30 seconds from the start signal to successfully complete the lift. Athlete starts with hands off of implement and must strap in on their time. A down call will be given to the athlete to signal completion of the lift. Athlete is expected to control the weight down to the ground. Failure to do so will result in a no-lift and the athlete will then need to complete the lift with the remaining time (if available). Wraps, straps, suits, briefs, sleeves are all ok. No sticky substances (tacky, tacky towels, etc.).

Heavy Frame Carry: Athlete has 60 seconds to carry their frame down 40ft and back 40ft. Athletes may drop as many times as needed until the time is up or the athlete has signaled completion of their attempt. At the 40ft mark, the athlete must ensure the front of the frame has crossed prior to the initial drop. The athlete will be given a drop signal at this time. Failure to cross the line, crossing of the line due to sliding, or sliding of the implement multiple times during the athlete attempt may result in a penalty of 3 seconds per instance after the first warning by the lane judge(s). Belts, wraps and sleeves are allowed. No sticky substances (tacky, tacky towels, etc.).

Sandbag Carry and Load Medley Presented by Bells of Steel:  Athlete has 60sec to carry each of 3 sandbags 40 ft / 20 ft / 10 ft and then load it over the bar as fast as possible. Sandbags will be in order from lightest to heaviest. Men's bar height will be 52" and Women's bar height will be 48". Gloves, belts, wraps, sleeves and USS approved grip shirts are all ok. No sticky substances (tacky, tacky towels, etc.).

Weigh-ins:  July 26th at Eaton Barbell (251 Industrial Dr, Eaton, OH 45320) from 12pm-6pm. July 27th from 8:30am-9:30am at the venue.

Rules & Athlete warm-up: July 27th from 9:30am-10am at the venue.

First event will begin promptly at 10am
