Per Strongman Corp Approval, we are allowed the opportunity to work with Weigh It Out plates, calibrated within 1/10lb. So this is a go! It's a MAX RAW deadlift. No suits or briefs, but compression shorts are allowed. We will run 4 lanes, one for each weight class.

1. Conventional stance deadlift is mandatory; Sumo stance, Jefferson deadlifts, or any other variation are not allowed. Hands must remain outside the knees throughout the entire lift.
2. Straps, including figure 8 straps, are permitted, but they must be tight, and the hands must be around/holding the bar. A long figure 8 strap with only “fingertips” touching the bar is not acceptable.
3. Deadlift suits are NOT allowed.
4. Tacky is not allowed
5. Each competitor is allowed three attempts.
6. Competitors cannot reduce their nominated weight after a failed or completed attempt.
7. No minimum weight increase due to international events using different units (lbs or kgs).
8. No mid-lift bounce is allowed, where the athlete forcefully pushes the bar to the ground to gain height on the rebound.
9. Weight must be controlled to the ground for the lift to count. The lift WILL NOT count if you drop the bar from the top of the lift.
10. Competitors have 60 seconds to complete each lift after the whistle blows, and lifting can continue until the full 60 seconds expire.
11. No points are awarded if no complete lifts are counted.
12. The lift is considered complete when the judge calls “down,” requiring the lifter to have knees, hips, and shoulders locked out.
13. Competitors may change their first lift once, up to 5 minutes before the event starts.
14. Competitors nominate their second lift weight immediately after completing their first lift. Weight will be written on your athlete lanyard by your judge. It will be initialed or checked off once the weight is successfully completed.
15. Competitors may change their second lift weight once, but it cannot be less than the current bar weight.
16. Competitors nominate their third lift weight immediately after completing their second lift.

17. Competitors may change their third lift weight twice, but it cannot be less than the current bar weight.
18. Competitors’ opening lift must be at the minimum set weights or above for their class.
19. Chalk is allowed.

60 seconds will begin on the whistle. You must complete as many clean and press reps in 60 seconds. CLEAN and PRESS EACH REP.

Athlete must reset log if the log rolls off the pad. The pads will be 12 inches off the ground. You must control the log down. No treetops, or the rep will not be awarded. Please turn lever or prong belts backwards or to the side. Please let your judge know of any lockout issues prior to your lift. A full lockout is: Knees, hips and shoulders locked out, and head through. Eye contact with your judge.

Athlete will complete this same movement with the remaining sandbags before pushing the wheelbarrow to the finish line. Sandbags must be completely in the wheelbarrow. The athlete must completely cross the line with the wheelbarrow before time stops. In the event of a slide, the athlete will receive a 5 second penalty.

60 second time limit. If the athlete does not get to the finish line with all sandbags and the wheelbarrow before time expires, distance will be measured.

Equipment Allowed:

Sleeves, wrist wraps, belts (one soft belt and one power belt), powder chalk, gloves. Grip shorts and shirts.

NO: briefs, tacky.

Event 4: Head-to-Head Sandbag Toss

Athlete will start 10 feet from the implement, the time begins at the whistle blow. Athlete must complete each sandbag over the height of 15 feet in order of weight. Athlete is required to retrieve their own sandbag for a rethrow. If the bag is stuck on top of the bar, it counts. If the athlete does not get all bags over the bar, they will be scored in total bags over bar in the time completed. Split times will be taken.

Equipment Allowed:

Sleeves, wrist wraps, compression shorts. Powder chalk only.

Event 5: Pikes Peak Stone Series

Athletes will load stones head-to-head.  This event will be scored based on time and stones lifted. Athlete will stand 4 ft from the first stone. And will start on command. There will be two stone platforms, heights will be 45",50",55",45",42" - the platforms will be uniquely representing the peak of a mountain. Instead of the traditional descending platform, the platforms will ascend to the "peak" then descend. Stone weight will still ascend as usual. However keep in mind what would normally be a lighter stone at the highest platform - will in this case be a slightly heavier stone at the "peak" of the stone series. With the heaviest stone at the end at the series. Both athletes will start on the left side of the platforms.  Split times will be taken.

Equipment Allowed:

Grip shirts (any brand except USS).

Tacky, tacky towels, spray tacky.

Elbow, and knee sleeves. Stone sleeves are also allowed.

Stone slings not allowed.
