Competition Day:
- Event Start time is 10:00 a.m.
- Athlete meeting at 9:15 and warm-ups will start after it.
Hotel Accommodations:
If you are needing a hotel the nearest hotels are in Ontario, Oregon which are just across the river a couple minutes from the event location. You can also always stay in Nampa, or Boise Idaho which is about 45 minutes from us.
Food & Prizes:
- Each athlete will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag at weigh-ins. The t-shirt will not be guaranteed if you sign-up after the 19th of November.
- We will be having a table for athletes with snacks and Pizza to eat for lunch during the competition and some pretty sweet trophies will be handed out to the winners of the different classes! However, if you are the only competitor in your class don't expect a trophy, get a friend you know you can beat to sign up with you! Trophies are earned.
Event One: Log Clean and Press Away
This will be a timed event with a 60 sec. time cap. You will clean the log one time from the ground and then press as many times as possible within the remaining time. Once the log returns to the ground your attempt is over. A down command will be given for each successful lift. Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, grip shirts, wrist raps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves NOT ALLOWED: tacky, lifting straps, knee wraps, built-up belts or suits etc.
Event Two: Last Man Standing Yoke for 20ft.
This is not a timed event. The weights listed in the matrix are your weight classes opening weight. Yoke heights will be taken at weigh-ins. All classes male and female will run together on this event as the weight increases. There will be 50lb jumps and you may have one attempt at every weight called after your weight classes opening weight until you have a failed attempt, or you may choose to skip weights. This is a NO.... drops allowed 20ft yoke run. Weight classes will be scored separately. Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, grip shirts, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves NOT ALLOWED: tacky, lifting straps, knee wraps, built-up belts or suits etc.
Event Three: Farmer's Carry / Sled Drag Medley for 35ft
This is a timed event. You will pick up and carry the farmer's handles 35 ft. and then back pedal pulling the sled back 35 ft. Time cap will be 60 sec. If the medley is not completed a distance will be measured. Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, grip shirts, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves NOT ALLOWED: tacky, lifting straps, knee wraps, built-up belts or suits etc.
Event Four: Idaho Potato Sack Front Hold for Time
This is a timed event. Competitors must keep their back and butt against the wall and feet behind the designated line. A sack of potatoes will be held with both hands, arms extended straight out in front of the body at shoulder to chin height for as long as possible. A lift command will be given to start the event and competitors will lift the bags from the boxes in front of them. If you drop below shoulder height time will be stopped and your attempt is over. Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, grip shirts, knee sleeves NOT ALLOWED: tacky, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, lifting straps, knee wraps, built-up belts or suits etc.
Event Five: Natural Stone Load to Truck Bed
This event will have a 90 sec. time cap. A series of 5 natural boulders will be set out around a flatbed truck. Competitors will start with the lightest stone and work their way up to the heaviest. If all the stones are loaded a finish time will be taken. Split times will be taken on each stone successfully loaded. Load height for all classes is 40". Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, grip shirts, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, knee sleeves NOT ALLOWED: tacky, lifting straps, knee wraps, built-up belts or suits etc.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you come out to Fruitland to have a fun time competing! It will be December, and we could have snowy / icy roads. The event will be inside but come prepared.
