- If there are 5-9 athletes in a class, 1st and 2nd place gets an invite to 2025 SC Nationals.

Event 1: Slater True Log Press (Last Man Standing)
Description: Athletes must successfully press a log before advancing to the next weight increment. The event continues until only one athlete remains. Competitors must complete every increment from their buy-in weight onward until eliminated.
Women: 10”x4’ Slater True Log (~90 lbs empty) - weights will increase by 10lbs each round
Men: 12”x6’ Slater True Log (~165 lbs empty) - weights will increase by 20lbs each round
Scoring: A successful lift requires full lockout: straight arms, head through, legs and feet parallel and stationary. Athletes must wait for the judge’s “down” command before lowering the log in a controlled manner. DO NOT DROP THE LOG—FAILURE TO CONTROL THE LOG DOWN TO THE PADS WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL OF THE REP.
Time: A 45-second timer starts on the judge’s command. No set rest time between reps—once finished, move to the back of the line. Be ready when it’s your turn—adjust gear beforehand. As eliminations occur, rest time shortens.
Notes: No tacky, deadlift suits, or built-up belts. No tree-topping. If it’s not specifically banned, it’s allowed. Reminder: DO NOT DROP THE LOG—FAILURE TO CONTROL THE LOG DOWN TO THE PADS WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL OF THE REP.
Event 2: Mike Bartos' Yoke Carry (50 Feet)
Description: Athletes carry a standard Mike Bartos' PowerCenter Yoke 50 feet as fast as possible. The event begins with the yoke on the floor; competitors position themselves under the crossbar and start on the judge’s signal.
Scoring: Fastest time wins. A 3-foot grace period allows for a single drop at the start. Any drop beyond the grace period ends the run, with distance recorded from the start to the front of the yoke.
Notes: No tacky, deadlift suits, or built-up belts. If it’s not specifically banned, it’s allowed.
BONUS PRIZE: Fastest time for Open Heavy Weight Men and Women will each receive $50 cash sponsored by Alan Colley and Iron House Gym in Clermont, FL.
Event 3: IronMind Rolling Thunder Single-Arm Deadlift (Last Man Standing, Both Arms)
Description: Athletes must complete a single-arm deadlift with both hands individually at each weight increment, starting at their designated weight based on weight class, before advancing. No skipping increments. Once your weight class starts, everyone attempts every weight jump until they fail. The event continues until only one athlete remains.
Men - 10lbs jumps
Women - 5lbs jumps
Scoring: Full lockout required. Athletes must wait for the judge’s “down” command before lowering the weight under control.
Time: 30-second timer starts on the judge’s command. Each hand must be completed within the 30-second time frame. It is not 30 seconds per hand. One attempt per hand per round. No retries on failed reps. No set rest time between reps—be prepared when it’s your turn.
Notes: No straps, grip supports, tacky, deadlift suits, or built-up belts. No sumo stance. Chalk is allowed. Must grip the black rolling portion of the handle. If it’s not specifically banned, it’s allowed. Weights listed on Iron Podium are weight plates only and do not include the weight of the handle or pin.
Event 4: Cerberus Kratos Bar Deadlift (Max Reps)
Time: 60 seconds
Description: Athletes complete as many deadlift reps as possible within 60 seconds using the Cerberus 10’ Kratos Bar.
Scoring: Standard deadlift rules apply: Full lockout required. No touch-and-go reps. Must wait for both “up” and “down” commands from the judge before completing a rep. Premature reps will not be counted. Most reps win.
Notes: Figure-8 straps and chalk are allowed. No sumo stance, split stance, tacky, deadlift suits, or built-up belts. If it’s not specifically banned, it’s allowed.
Event 5: Cerberus Sandbag Medley (Carry & Load + Max Shoulder Reps)
Description: Athletes complete a carry-and-load + max shoulder reps sequence:
1. Carry a lighter sandbag 25 feet and load it over a yoke bar.
2. Perform as many ground-to-shoulder reps as possible with a heavier sandbag (placed near the yoke) before time expires.
Loading Heights:
Women - 48"
Men - 56"
Time: 60 seconds
Scoring: The lighter bag must be successfully loaded before attempting reps with the heavier bag. Each shoulder rep must meet the following criteria before the judge gives the “down” command: Sandbag fully on the shoulder. Legs and feet parallel and stationary. Opposite arm extended, demonstrating control.
Overall Tie-Breaker: Keg Over Bar (Max Reps)
This event will only take place if there is an overall tie that needs to be broken.
Description: Athletes lift and load a keg over the bar as many reps as possible in 60 seconds. The athlete will need to go side to side on their own (under or around the bar) to get to the keg to complete the next rep.
Keg Weights:
Women - 135lbs
Men - 170lbs
Loading Heights:
Women - 48"
Men - 56"
Time: 60 seconds
