Hotel Information:
- Make your reservation as soon as possible. Columbia is a main hub for the "Show Me State Games". With that being said if hotel rooms fill up because of the Games we wont be able to get any more in our block.
- Hotel rooms will be $109 a night which is a $20 savings per typical reservations.
- Unfortunately there is not a sauna on site, but we will have information about a sauna as we get closer to the show.
- The hotel is right off of 63 giving you access to the interstate, while also having the convenience of multiple grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and much more within a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

EVENT RULES:
- Axle Press Medley- Ironmind Axle
Athletes will be given 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible
Axles will be in order from lightest to heaviest. Athletes will start a designated distance away from the first axle. Once the "lift" command is given the athlete may attempt to lift the first axle. Once the athlete is given a "good rep", they may attempt to lift the second axle. Once the athlete is given a "good rep", they may attempt to lift the last axle. The first two axles will be one rep lifts, the last axle will be clean and press away.
Rules for the event: Athletes may continental, double overhand, or belt clean the axle. Once in the racked position the athlete may push press, push jerk, split jerk, or strict press the axle. The axle must be controlled to the ground, if you drop the axle from overhead you will not be awarded a "good rep" and will have to clean and press that axle again.
To get a "good rep": Athletes must have the Axle fully locked out, feet must be together, head must be through (looking forward). Athlete can NOT be in an incline bench type of position at lockout.
Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, 1 pair of knee sleeves, 1 pair of elbow sleeves, 1 set of cuffs, hot pants, briefs, grip shirt must be worn under the competition shirt.
Equipment not allowed: versa grips, figure 8s, axle straps, barbell straps, oly straps, no doubling up on sleeves or cuffs of any kind. One or the other.
- Standard Deadlift- Intek Powerbar
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.
Athletes will start a designated distance away from the bar. Once the athlete is given the "lift" command, they may go towards the bar and attempt their first rep. Athletes will be given a "good lift" command if the rep meets the requirements for a rep. The athlete must then bring the bar back to the ground and be given the "lift" command to attempt another rep.
Rules for the event: Athletes may use any of the straps in the approved equipment, double overhand, switch/under-over grip, or hook grip to grab the bar. Athletes must have their knees and hips locked out for a rep to be awarded.
Reps can be removed if the athlete drops a completed rep from the top of the deadlift. Reps can be removed if the athlete jumps the "lift" command and completes the rep.
Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, oly straps, figure 8/infinity straps, standard straps of any length, knee sleeves.
Equipment not allowed: versa grips, no doubling up on suits and briefs. One or the other.
- Yoke Walk- Big Dogg Strong
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete the course of 50ft down and 50ft back. If the Athlete finishes, time will be recorded. If the Athlete does not complete the course, distance will be recorded.
Athletes may start under the yoke. On the "LIFT" command athletes will attempt to stand with the yoke and walk it the designated distance. Once the front of the yoke passes the line for distance the athlete will then set the yoke down, turn around, pick the yoke up, and return it to the starting line. Time will stop when the front of the yoke passes the finish line.
Rules for the event: Athletes will have unlimited drops to finish the course or until time expires. Athletes must attempt to take a step with the yoke in order to move it. Athletes are not allowed to "bunny hop" or "pick and throw forward" the yoke to move it down the course. These will result in a 2 second penalty. No sliding the yoke. Slides will result in a 5 second penalty. Yoke must leave the ground to move. Pick your heights accordingly.
Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, knee sleeves.
Equipment not allowed: no doubling up on suits and briefs. No tacky or adhesive of any kind.
- Frame Carry- Beast Metal
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete the course of 50ft down and 50ft back. If the Athlete finishes, time will be recorded. If the Athlete does not complete the course, distance will be recorded.
Athletes may start with hands on the frame. On the "LIFT" command athletes will attempt to stand with the frame and walk it the designated distance. Once the front of the frame passes the line for distance the athlete will then set the frame down, turn around, pick the frame up, and return it to the starting line. Time will stop when the front of the frame passes the finish line.
Rules for the event: Athletes will have unlimited drops to finish the course or until time expires. Athletes must attempt to take a step with the frame in order to move it. Athletes are not allowed to "bunny hop" or "pick and throw forward" the frame to move it down the course. These will result in a 2 second penalty. No sliding the frame. Slides will result in a 5 second penalty. Frame must leave the ground to move. No dragging the frame to move it.
Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, knee sleeves.
Equipment not allowed: versa grips, no doubling up on suits and briefs. No tacky or adhesive of any kind.
- Sandbag Throw- Cerberus
- Height for throws
- Women- 12 Ft
- Men- 15ft
This event will be a max rep event. Athlete will be given 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. Athlete will start with their hand on the yoke, once the go signal is given the athlete will then retrieve the sandbag from 15ft away and attempt to throw the bag over the designated height. If the bag goes over the athlete will then run to the other side and attempt to throw the bag back over. If the bag does not go over the athlete must stay on that side until completing the rep. Athletes will be required to retrieve their own bags during the duration of the event. This event will be scored by completed number of reps in 60 seconds.
Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, hot pants, briefs.
Equipment not allowed for this event: versa grips, figure 8s, axle straps, barbell straps, oly straps, suits of any kind.
- Equipment not allowed for any portion of the show:
Tacky, tacky towel, spray tacky, stickem, or any other kind of adhesive like substance. If you are caught using this you will be asked to leave the competition, given 0s for remaining events, and no refund.
Weights used for the entire show: Intek Strength plates and collars will be used for the entire show
