Pagoda City Showdown at Club Reverb in Reading, PA. The bar will be stocked and food will be available, DJ playing all day - come ready to party!

Weigh ins will be available Friday 5/17 from 8:00-10:00am and 4:00-7:00pm  at The Gym & Crossfit Alcides (122 Mill Road Oaks PA 19456) and Saturday morning at Reverb from 8:00-9:00am. IF YOU MISS WEIGH IN, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE!

Pagoda City Showdown is also a 2025 United States Strongman Nationals qualifier!

  1. SANDBAG LOAD FOR MAX REPS
    • ATHLETE WILL START WITH BOTH FOREARMS ON CROSS BAR OF YOKE AND BE GIVEN “ATHLETE READY, 3-2-1" TO START
    • LOAD SANDBAG OVER BAR AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE IN 60 SECONDS
    • ATHLETE MUST EXIT FROM BEHIND THE YOKE AND GO AROUND THE SIDES, NOT UNDER/OVER THE CROSS BAR
    • HANDS MAY ONLY TOUCH THE BAG TO LOAD, NOT THE BAR. NO REPS WILL BE GIVEN FOR GRABBING THE BAR TO LOAD THE BAG OVER.
    • WOMEN WILL LOAD TO 46"
    • MEN WILL LOAD TO 52"
      • EQUIPMENT ALLOWED: KNEE/ELBOW SLEEVES, WRIST WRAPS, CHALK, GRIP SHIRTS
      • EQUIPMENT NOT ALLOWED: NOTHING STICKY

    • DINNIE WEIGHTS LISTED BELOW ARE THE (ROUGHLY) TOTAL COMBINED WEIGHT OF BOTH HANDLES. WE WILL BE USING CERBERUS REPLICA DINNIE HANDLES FOR ALL WEIGHT CLASSES. ATHLETE CAN CHOOSE WHICH HAND HOLDS WHICH RING. PLATES LISTED BELOW:

  3. LAST MAN STANDING SILVER DOLLAR DEADLIFT
    • SILVER DOLLAR ATTACHMENT & DEADLIFT BAR
    • JUMP IN WHENEVER, DONE WHEN YOU MISS
    • ATHLETE CAN DECLARE UP TO (3) WARM UP REPS AND MUST DECLARE FIRST OFFICIAL REP TO JUDGE BEFORE LIFT
    • HEAVIEST WEIGHT LIFTED WINS
    • 30 SECONDS TO COMPLETE LIFT, STRAP IN ON YOUR OWN TIME
      • EQUIPMENT ALLOWED: STRAPS, KNEE SLEEVES, DEADLIFT SOCKS, SUITS, WARMING SHORTS
      • EQUIPMENT NOT ALLOWED: ANYTHING WITH HOOKS, BABY OIL, DON'T GET ANYTHING WEIRD ON OUR EQUIPMENT
         
  4. TRUCK PULL FOR TIME/DISTANCE
    • ATHLETE WILL BE HARNESSED IN AND GIVEN “ATHLETE READY, 3-2-1" TO START
    • ATHLETE MAY GET TIGHT LEANING FORWARD TO PULL SLACK OUT OF ROPE IN FRONT BEFORE START
    • PULL TRUCK 50 FT FOR TIME OR MAX DISTANCE IN 60 SECONDS
    • ATHLETE WILL HAVE A TOW ROPE TO PULL AGAINST
      • EQUIPMENT ALLOWED: KNEE SLEEVES, WRAPS. THE PLAN IS FOR THIS TO BE DONE IN A PARKING LOT OUTSIDE, WEAR PROPER FOOTWEAR
      • EQUIPMENT NOT ALLOWED:
         
  5. MAX REPS CIRCUS DUMBBELL
    • 60 SECONDS TO CLEAN & PRESS THE BELL FOR AS MANY REPS AS POSSIBLE.
      • NOVICE-MW + MASTER'S WOMEN WILL USE AN 8" BELL
      • HW & SHW WOMEN + NOVICE MEN WILL USE A 10" TPC BELL
      • ALL OTHER MEN'S CLASSES WILL USE A 12" TPC BELL
    • HANDS MUST BE OFF BELL TO START, ATHLETE WILL BE GIVEN “ATHLETE READY, 3-2-1" TO START
    • THE HEAD OF THE DUMBBELL MUST TOUCH THE GROUND BETWEEN EACH REP, NOT JUST THE CRASH PAD
    • MUST WAIT FOR DOWN COMMAND OR WILL BE GIVEN “NO REP”
    • DOWN GIVEN WHEN ARM AND LEGS ARE LOCKED OUT, BELL IS CONTROLLED AT THE TOP
    • NO DUMPING FROM OVERHEAD, CONTROLLED DOWNS 
      • EQUIPMENT ALLOWED: WRIST WRAPS, ELBOW SLEEVES, GRIP SHIRTS (NO OSG OR SC), CHALK
