Arsenal Athletics Mammoth Bar Deadlift (max Weight) :
Wessels Rules Rising Bar format, 3 attempts, miss and you are done. Straps, figure 8’s are allowed, thumb must be over bar, no hanging bar from straps, no suits. Down command will be given. 60 seconds per attempt.
Sledge Hammer Crucifix Hold (Max time)
Competitors will place their backs against the wall and hold 1 sledge hammer in each hand straight out to the side, trying to keep the arms perfectly level and straight for as long as possible.
Pinch Block Deadlift (max Weight)
2x3" Pinch Block, Wessels Rules, Rising Bar format (5 lbs jumps men, 2.5lbs women and juniors), 3 attempts, 1 minute per attempt, miss and you are done. Only chalk 9liquid or regular) may be used on the lifting hand, but nothing else is permitted.
Weight is hung from the block using a loading pin and carabiner. The lifter grabs the Block in approximately its center and lifts with the Block remaining approximately parallel to the ground. A thumbless grip is not permitted. Other than incidental contact, the hand or Block must not touch the body before the lift is completed—dragging the hand or Block up the leg is cause for an immediate "No lift."
The lifter must fully straighten up (back erect, legs and hips locked out); once standing straight, the lifter must maintain control of the lift for 1 second before getting a down signal from the judge, and must then return the weight to the ground. Contact must be maintained between the lifter's hand and the Block until the weight is resting on the floor. The judge then indicates whether the lift was passed or not.
Muscle Pirate Sand Bag Toss over bar (max reps for time)
Competitor will throw a MP throwing bag back and forth over a bar for max reps in 1 minute. Bar will be at set height, competitor will throw the bag run and grab the bag and throw it back over the other way as many times as possible.
Dinnie Stone Hold for Time
Dinnie rings will be attached to loading pins using carabiner. Simply lift the two weights together off the ground and hold for as long as possible. Time will start once standing locked-out (legs fully straightened, body upright and braced) and will stop when either one touches the floor.
