A STRONGMAN CORPORATION MEMBERSHIP CARD IS REQUIRED AT CHECK-INS!

If there are 2-5 athletes a class:

1st place - Nationals (2023) and Regionals (2023) invites

2nd - Regionals (2023)

3rd - Regionals (2023)

If there are 6+ athletes in a class:

1st - Nationals(2023) and Regionals (2023)

2nd - Nationals (2023) and Regionals (2023)

3rd - Regionals (2023)

4th - Regionals (2023)

Weight matrix is subject to slight changes upon further event testing

Weigh-ins available 12/9/22: 10 AM-Noon & 5-7 PM 12/10/22: 8-9 AM 

Rules meeting at 9 AM, competition starts at 10 AM.

There is no fee for spectators, and the event will be livestreamed from the 580 Barbell YouTube channel for free. 

There will be food, alcohol (for spectators and athletes post-show), 50/50 raffle, sponsorship booths, and competition t-shirts available for sale!

All events are inside.

EVENT 1- Deadlift For Reps 

• Reps in one minute
• Touch n go is permitted, but competitor must wait for down command each rep
• Deadlift is a standard from the floor deadlift
• Competitors start with hands off, strap in on own time
• Head-to-head format (2 competitors going at once)
• Texas deadlift bar
• Deadlifts must be performed conventional stance, no sumo allowed
• Belt, straps, knee sleeves, chalk, baby powder allowed
• Suits, briefs, tacky not allowed

EVENT 2- Axle Clean and Press Ladder

• 3 axle bars 10 feet apart
• Competitor starts 5 feet behind first bar
• Judge says go, and competitors run up to first bar, press it, and move on to next bar
• Must wait for down command for each bar
• 60 second time limit
• Score is how fast competitor finishes all 3 bars
• Each bar will be on drop pads
• If competitor does not finish all 3 bars, their score is how many bars they completed
• Head-to-head format (2 competitors going at once)
• Belt cleans, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, are allowed
• Grip shirts, tacky, not allowed

EVENT 3- Sandbag Snowman Build

• 3 sandbags which will be standing upright
• Competitors will start with hands off
• Judge says "go" and competitor will grab the HEAVIEST sandbag and run it 40 feet, run back and grab the middle bag and set it on top of the first bag, then finally run back and grab the lightest bag and finish their snowman sandbag by stacking it on top of the previous two bags
• 75 second time limit
• Head-to-head format (2 competitors going at once)
• The bags must be all stacked on top of each other for their time to stop
• Belt, knee/elbow sleeves, chalk, wrist wraps, gloves, are allowed
• Grip shirts, tacky, not allowed

EVENT 4- Yoke Race

• Competitors start 5 feet behind the yoke
• 40 feet down and back
• 60 sec time limit, unlimited drops
• Head-to-head format (2 competitors going at once)
• Belt, knee/elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk, allowed
• Suits, tacky, not allowed

EVENT 5- Front Hold "Christmas Wreath Hold"

• Volunteers will hold the plate decorated as a Christmas wreath at shoulder height for the competitor
• Competitors will get their grip, and judge will say go
• Competitor hold as long as they can
• Backs will be against a wall and must remain in contact
• Head-to-head format (2 competitors going at once)
• Elbow sleeves, belt, chalk, are allowed
• Tacky, straps, are not allowed

OTHER COMPETITION RULES/INFORMATION

• Competition shirts must be worn for all events
• No headphones during any events
• Awards for 1st-3rd in each class
• Photographer and videographer will be on-site
• No refunds
