Red River Strongman 2025

$70

Red River, NM

Prize money will be prorated based upon the number of points you earn. If you beat more people, you earn more money. Last year we gave away $2,000 in cash prizes.

Trophies for 1st place only.

2025 USS National's Invite for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class.

Along with a competition shirt, athletes will also get Oktoberfest event shirts, food and beverage vouchers, and free admission for themselves and a companion for Red River's Oktoberfest. (Check the link and see the value!) <<< correct>

Weigh-Ins: Friday October 10 - 3:00pm-7:00pm. This is the ONLY time to weigh in. ALL athletes must weigh in to complete the check-in process. You will get your passes, shirts, and other merch at weigh-ins. We will also get your yoke heights for the Zercher carry at weigh-ins.

T-Shirts: The athlete will get two shirts for this two-day event. I don't care which you wear, but one of those two shirts must be worn when competing (except for grip-shirt approved events). If you have a grip shirt, three of the events allow for a grip shirt. Wear one of your event shirts for the DL (over your DL suit, not under). If you don’t have a grip shirt, an event shirt must be worn for all the events.

Late Registrations: If you are a late registrant (i.e., you register after 9/30), I cannot guarantee that you will receive both an event shirt and a competition shirt.

Rules Meeting and Warmups: Our rules meeting will be at 9:30am, October 11th. We will be competing both at the center stage and at a side booth. I will keep the below updated as to the locations and times of each event. Warm up times, space, and equipment may be limited because other events are currently taking place. Prepare for that.

*Weights, times, and time limits are subject to change*

TIME LIMITS - We are providing entertainment timeslots for Oktoberfest. Depending on the number of total competitors, time limits may range from 60 seconds to 90 seconds. Get that cardio in.

As information becomes available concerning days, timeslots, etc. at the festival, I will update the information on this registration page.

Zercher Yoke to Iron-Cross Race (Oct 11 @ 10:30pm)

Fastest Time Wins. :60 Time Limit. For people who do not finish within the time limit, distance will be measured. The athlete will start with hands off the Yoke. At “Go” they will pick the Yoke in the Zercher position (not on the shoulder, but in the crook of the elbows). They will then carry the Yoke ~40 feet. Then they will run back and pick the Iron Cross to carry it the ~40 feet. Time will stop once the Iron Cross lands on the crash pad. If the Iron Cross bounces off the crash pad, that is fine. But if the athlete misses the crash pad altogether, time will continue to run.

Allowed – One Soft Belt, One Hard Belt, Wraps, Sleeves, Chalk, Grip Shirts

Not Allowed – Belt build-up, Tacky, Straps, Suits, Gloves

Circus DB C&P (Oct 11 @ 12:30am)

Most Reps Wins. See "TIME LIMITS" above. Athlete cannot touch the CDB until times begins. The athlete can position the CDB however they want before time starts. The CDB must be controlled to the crash pads. No crash pads, no rep. The athlete may dump the weight to protect themselves should they lose balance or control. Doing this repeatedly will indicate to the judge that the athlete is not in control, and time will be stopped and scores recorded. Every rep must be cleaned from the ground.

Men - 12" CDB

Allowed – One Soft Belt, One Hard Belt, Wraps, Sleeves, Chalk, Grip Shirts

Not Allowed – Tacky, Straps, Suits, Gloves

While straps are allowed, the athlete will be eating into their :60 to strap in. Current USS NM State Records in matrix below. For weight jumps, please see the below selectable weights. If you are the last athlete left in your class, I will let you pick your weight for your third and final attempt to break the current state record. But it will have to occur within the rising bar format while other athletes outside of your class have attempts remaining.

Allowed – One soft belt, one hard belt, sleeves, wraps, chalk, straps, hitching, suits or briefs (not both)
